Ive only owned the HRV EX-L Navi since may But it has been fantastic on gas , good acceleration, we been on trips where storage counted and it handled very well on the roads. Id buy it again without any reservations.

  • Horrible!!! - 2016 Honda HR-V

Front driver seat is not designed to fit a human being. Incredibly uncomfortable! The head rest on the driver seat tilts your head forward and cannot be adjusted. Absolutely no lower back support or adjustment ability to the lower back driver seat. So many corners cut to cut costs on this thing. If it was 12k I might give it more stars, but for 24k, no way! No cupholders in the backseat. No side storage space in the back hatch section. Left-hand driver side armrest is rock hard and uncomfortable as hell. No knobs on dashboard controls make it very difficult and awkward to adjust the music and climate controls. A few positives with this car would be good gas mileage comfortable right arm rest for the driver seat and the right turn lane camera. Gutless motor and no legroom for the driver made this a bad choice for me and lm pissed I bought it. I had to eat my loss and trade it back.

  • A Great Trade from a Sedan to a SUV - 2016 Honda HR-V

I purchased my HRV EX-L a month ago. I knew it did not have power seats with lumbar support which I really think is a mistake that Hinda made as well as the short length of the telescopic steering wheel. Aside from that I love the handling and lane watch features. There are many features that are attractive like great speakers, climate control, mirrors with blinkers" the leather seats are classy and wheel made but not as comfortable due to lack of adjustments with power seats. I have owned a 1988 Honda Prelude and 2004 Acura TL which were my favorite and most fun cars to drive surpassing my Lexus. Honda needs to add power driver seats, lengthen the steering wheel stem and add two inches of leg room in the front. I am 57" 150 Lbs but all legs and arms so a little more leg room which be perfect. As far as back pain, I bought a pillow which seems to help. I have had to adjust to all if my cars and I will have to do the same for this. It is a perfect crooover for a single or couple with small children. I recommend the HRV with the above changes to rate it an overall 5

The fancy floormat upgrade was a bad decision. Such soft rubber my heel tore a hole through it in less than 3 months... Acceleration only seems bad right off the bat from being so used to other vehicles... once the comparison bias wore off, its zippy enough in sport mode. Agree that the touch climate controls are unresponsive and having to look at them is annoying. Didnt think Id mind but I seem to. Love the magic seats. Would have loved the gauges to have a way to switch between english and metric. Love the maintenance notifications. Super love the backup and turn cameras. Engine way quieter than a prius under load and the CVT behaves really well. They need to get on the ball with android integration for that touchscreen, and though its nice to finally have a car that can play mp3 files from a usb stick directly, it would be nice if the sound suite could catch up to modern software technology and offer features like pitch and tempo bending like my maple app does. Would have liked roof rack to be standard issue, not top tier. Even kia soul gives you the roof rack, man!

10-13 -Researched this car for 3 months prior to purchase, had 3 deals & broker looking.Back in July difficult car to find.Had been waiting until one Monday got my car had interior changed for leather & didnt get the color I was waiting for. Waited until now we write my review until after road trip which car handled just fine according to my husb which was the driver. He didnt have back support problem he is 6 but I couldnt get comfort in one spot.He luved all features & noted how fast air cond cooled the car down. Got this car for gas mileage, cargo space & price. Car has so many curves on outside difficult cleaning according to husb. Got rainned on paint held up no spot except crome & windows.......

Super quality, handling, ride and appearance. Mpg is averaging 35 with AWD over first 5,000 miles. Comfort, quietness and solid build is the best.

Wanted so much to like the car and we did, except for one little thing. The acceleration was like a bulldog on Valium. Give this car 30 more horses and you have a winner!

Overall impression of the car is very good. Typical Honda excellent engineering with the 2nd row seat design. Amazing cargo flexibility that is unmatched in anything in its class. Overall road noise is slightly higher than what I am used to, but not objectionable. Cross shopped the Mazda CX3 and HRV is way superior in almost every aspect. I do not like CVT transmissions in general, but Honda has made this CVT the best I have driven. Coming out of a VW GTI, I am missing the 70+ HP and the manual transmission, but am enjoying the increased fuel economy and cargo flexibility. HRV is the perfect size vehicle for my commuting and occasional car pooling needs. The CRV has grown too much over the last 2 redesigns, the HRV is about the same size as the first generation CRV but with way better use of interior space. The 1.8L engine is a carryover from the 2006 Civic and although not a technology masterpiece, it has been proven rock solid and reliable. I will probably keep this car for 10 years and put 200K on it with little more than basic maintenance. Only real dislike about the car is the choice in carpet. It is not a woven pile carpet but rather a black polyester weave, it looks and feels very cheap. Looks more like a sound deadener found in the trunk surrounding the spare wheel than a carpet covering the entire interior of the car. I will be getting the weathertech floor liners to cover almost all of the interior to cover this up. Update: After 8K miles, did first oil change (indicator was @ 40%), used Mobil 1 Synthetic instead of break in oil, mpg increased slightly. Navi System voice control is a total joke. Navi Maps are at least 5 years out of date and almost totally useless, why cant Honda use Garmin? Red rust is appearing on the MIG welds on the seams of the muffler. I think they used the incorrect weld wire to weld stainless. Update: Now at 22K miles. MPG has stabilized at 34-35 mpg. No mechanical issues at all. XM radio reception is worst I have ever had, will cut out if there is a cloud in the sky, never had this issue on any other car. Overall it is a great little car which serves its purpose well.
