All fashion, no fuction. - 2016 Honda HR-V
By thelainster - October 9 - 5:09 pmI set out on a mission to buy a CX-5, but as a first time new-car-buyer, my dad advised me to get a Honda. At the time, the only CUV was the CR-V ( which I happen to think look like stinkbugs) so I waived him off. Then, I checked the Honda website and fell in love with the appearance and versatility of the HR-V. I bought it and almost immediately regretted my decision. I am 58 of legs and the HR-V just doesnt fit my stature. I even went so far as to modify the seat for an added tilt, which helped but didnt solve the problem. Plus, now I am farther away from the barely telescoping steering wheel. Overall, I am very torn on the whole thing.

Nice Ride, until its COLD outside! - 2016 Honda HR-V
By Marty03 - August 28 - 2:16 pmYou cant have everything you want in any new vehicle, however, our HR-V is a nice ride, comfortable, quiet, handles smooth, acceleration is good (have not tried mountains and steep hills), Great gas mileage (leave in ECO mode and D) Back seats are very easy to move into position needed, style is nice. CONS: Charging area is hard to get too, Touch screen and climate control is frustrating, center console could have a bigger compartment for CDs (instead of the two small ones), back headrest need to be redesigned, Rear tailgate latch need to be automatic or redesigned (one small latch in the middle, not easy to open and have to slam the door to close it - cheap strip above the latch if not knowing how to open the latch, you would pull the cheap strip off - happened 3 times now by someone getting into the back to get something). As far using android phones - ours doesnt work well. Are we sorry in buying the HR-V....not yet - we like it so far, but its only been 2 months - time will tell. Update: Gettin more use to this HR-V however; cold air comes in both front doors. Had this vehicle since Oct. 2015 now. Still have cold air in doors, dealers wont do anything. Says they all are like that. Reported it to Honda, they took down my information, Vin # and all then said its up to the dealer, called other dealers and they say you have to go where you bought it at. I know I wont be keeping this one like I did my Blazer, Dodge, and Chevy for over 12 years! Wont buy another Honda, they dont seem to care!

Not a Bad Car But Not a Great Car.... - 2016 Honda HR-V
By zy - August 16 - 11:58 amThis is a very Mediocre car. The Good is it was under $25K done with the joke... ($24,995). The interior wasnt designed for people who like pockets for stuff like your sun - glasses, purse and or ? Other women have said the same thing. The console needs to be redesigned and it will be... Love the backseat manipulation designed * why I bought the car. Disappointments, yes more than one: 1) How bad it handles in snow for a 4 wheel crossover, 2) lack of Power even for a little old lady... 3) Hatch back sticks and no option for auto release or shut (old school manual shut) If you can get it open!!!! 4) HONDA SERVICE minus 10 company doesnt care. 5) Mileage is low more in the 25 in city. 6) Service at the Honda Dealer in Westminster, CO once youve got the car its your problem. Next car wont be a Honda already looking at the New Mazda 3X after only 18 month driving this car. Think hard Is Honda going on the past history and not living up to their promises. All good things come to an end.......Only thing IT IS Better is the Subaru Crosstreck which we all know is Subarus mistake.

You will love this car!! - 2017 Honda HR-V
By Ben - May 26 - 3:07 amWhere to start - I have never liked the CRV s look - so i was in between the HRV and the Civic. The HRV has all wheel drive where the civic does not, and its higher up which i like. I LOVE this car...everything i could want. Hopefully Honda puts in electric hatch and apple play but besides that: perfect!! Acceleration is not the greatest. This is the best car i have ever owned, and dont go for the lower grades....spend the extra money for comfy HEATED leather seats. YOu wont be sorry if you get this CROSSOVER / SUV.

Great Great car!! - 2016 Honda HR-V
By Kylee - May 24 - 2:39 pmI am absolutely in love with this vehicle! It is the first brand new car that I have had and I absolutely made the right choice! I would not have wanted any other car after test driving this one! I bought it from Piedmont Honda in Anderson, SC and they were absolutely amazing! Before I started looking at this vehicle I was looking at a Honda Accord and then this vehicle caught my eye. I started to looking at it and I saw that it was very roomy. I test drove this car and after that there was no going back. I knew that I was leaving with this car. The price was not bad I thought for a brand new car of this quality. I have always heard fantastic things about Hondas and the reliability. Before this car, I had a Toyota and that was the biggest piece of crap I had ever had. Every time I turned around it was always needing something. This Honda is the best vehicle ever. I do not have kids yet, but when I do I know this car will still be great! It is awesome on gas. My boyfriend and I drive it everywhere and I can go a whole week without having to stop for gas and it cost no more than $25 to fill up. I highly recommend this car to anyone!!

broken navigation system. - 2016 Honda HR-V
By Wayne - March 14 - 12:46 pmI have a new 2016HRV. I bought it 1 month ago in Arizona and drove it to New York. At least a dozen times the navigation system gave me wrong readings and showed me wrong maps/exits at highway interchanges. Once thru the interchange the system would show the correct directions. On arrival to NY I went to a local Honda dealer. After their 10 mile test drive they determined the navigation system is working fine and they will do nothing to find out why it acted upon on my 2300 mile trip. I called the 1 800 number in the manual got a reference number and after a few days Honda Corporate also stated they will not fix the problem. I am stuck with a brand new HR-V with a navigation system Honda refuses to try to fix. I will not buy another Honda if they will not back up their product.

By Gina S - December 31 - 4:35 amThe navigation is not worth the additional money when a smart phone app is easier and faster to load.
