The perfect "FIT" for our lifestyle. - 2009 Honda Fit
By responderG - July 31 - 1:27 pmMy wife and I live in a retirement community where we make alot of short trips to the stores, parks and etc. The Honda Fit Sport /w AT that we purchased, fullfills most of our expectations. We`re very satisfied with the running performance of this car.

Nice overall package! - 2009 Honda Fit
By hspatz - July 26 - 3:24 pmThis car feels very roomy for such a small car for both people and cargo. Average is around 37 mph overall. On trips can exceed 400 miles (10 gallons) on a tank. Steering is fast, borders on twitchy over 65 mph. Handling is excellent with rear breaking loose slightly with aggressive driving. Suspension is somewhat too stiff for bad New England roads. Acceleration more than adequate with manual trans. Front sometimes touches at end of driveways--be careful. Engine noisy over 70 mph. 65 mph is sweet spot. A/C a little weak, but doesnt sap much power. Controls work well and are easy to use.

Wow! Thank You Honda - 2009 Honda Fit
By RRL - July 21 - 11:48 pmHonda had the guts to build an almost radical design, and make it fun to drive. Bravo! It is almost as exciting to drive as my old 87 CRX SI. Quite an accomplishment. Gear ratios make good use of engine power. Hauling space is impressive. AC is plenty cool. Seats are more comfortable after broken in for a couple of months. Weve had our Fit for six months, our actual mileage is 30-32 city and 36-38 highway (not what the dash shows) ours didnt get more mpg after break in, but it always exceeds EPA ratings. Overall this is a very impressive car for the price with typical great attention to detail by Honda.

Outstanding Value - 2009 Honda Fit
By FitSport - July 16 - 10:37 pmIve owned many cars in my lifetime and this is the first time Im compelled to write a review. First, I bought a used 2009 with 7200 miles on it saving almost $4k. I chose the Sport model because it has cruise control and paddle shifting-really fun. My last 500mile trip averaged 48.5 mpg @70 mph and thats with 3 adults and weekend luggage. Around town Im getting between 40-43 mpg. Wish a sunroof is available but I can get by w/o it. Highway driving is very stable. The fit and finish is a definite 10. The 2009 model is far better than previous model years. I love this car - wont win any races but at 40+ mpg you cant go wrong.

Love my Fit!!! - 2009 Honda Fit
By locarbgal - July 16 - 8:54 pmI have only had my Fit for one week and I love it so far! I drive 21 miles one way to work and also do some marketing which requires extra driving so I needed to get rid of the old Taurus and get something with good gas mileage. The Fit so far with only 350 miles has gotten an average of 34.4 mpg which I am thrilled about! I am going on vacation next week and cant wait to see what kind of mileage I get!

Fave Vehicle Past 34 Years - 2009 Honda Fit
By FITFAN1 - May 17 - 2:00 pmI have owned 12 vehicles since 1975, both foreign and domestic, cars, SUVs and pick up trucks. I purchased a 2009 Honda Fit Sport AT with the paddle shifters. What a great economy car! Owned it for 30 days and the fuel stats are super. Worst MPG was 29.9 with the first tank of gas and that was mostly stop and go St. Louis metro driving. Overall mileage is 38.4 MPG after 900 miles. One highway only driving trip averaged 44.9 MPG while the computer estimated 46.9 MPG. I have 60% city/urban and 40% interstate driving. Paddle shifters are great, radio reception superb, picking up many weak and distant stations in St. Louis market. Interior space and comfort are tops. Engines smooth and quiet.

By Pixie - April 4 - 10:43 pmSo I have not had the car for very long. I just got one. It was a tough decision between the Fit sport and the Scion xD. However I am very happy with my choice. I love the fit. being an art student I have so much stuff I need for classes it fits it all nicely. I highly recommend it. Smooth ride Im getting about 31 mpg with mixed city and highway. I got the black Berry Pearl.

First 1200 miles in my new Fit - 2009 Honda Fit
By larryteck - March 10 - 7:40 pmI am loving this car so far. Averaging 37MPG on my daily 50 mile RT commute and over 39MPG on 250 mile road trip. I have grown to really like the paddle shifters in manual mode, and this from a "die-hard" manual shifter. For a sub- compact there is tons of room and think the rear seat flexibility is very well designed and functional. I find the highway ride a bit harsh and noisy, especially over expansion joints. But overall, this rates as one of the top 3 cars I have owned and I have owned nearly forty cars!
