  • Bang for Buck! - 2009 Honda Fit

I dont get where some reviewers feel this car can get pricey. This car has excellent quality, is fun to drive, and is super practical, without ever feeling like an entry level car (unlike a Yaris or Versa). I traded in a 2006 MINI for my Fit Sport, accepting a loss in the "fun to drive factor" Was I wrong! The car is a hoot to drive. Its composed, sporty, but doesnt tire you out. No, its not a MINI, but its more practical, cheaper, and surprisingly, gets a lot of looks by people on the street. Given the poor service history I received with my MINI compared to the reputation of Honda service, I look forward to a long relationship with this "Big" little car!

  • Great Car - 2009 Honda Fit

Have driven 500 miles in my 09 FIT (5A). Love the sport mode and shift paddles, but am settling into the Auto mode for higher MPG. Get 42 MPG on pure highway. 26-3 2MPG in mixed rather hilly driving. Seats and ride are nice & firm. Reasonably quiet on highway. Stereo and the Ipod connection are great. Luggage space and the magic folding rear seats are truly amazing for this size car. Overall, I love the car - cant wait to start it up in the morning.

  • Awesome Downgrade - 2009 Honda Fit

I have been in an Acura TL-Type S for 3 years and debated downsizing to something less expensive and fuel efficient. I saw the 08 Fit and was waiting for honda to make improvements like VSA and Nav. I decided to order the 09 Fit Sport and have NEVER regretted this decision! I have researched hybrids & know that the environmental impact of the battery system is massive--so will wait for some new tech. BUT I was shocked when taking a road trip in the Fit and saw that I was getting 46 mpg going 65 mph on hilly, curvy highways!

  • Perfect Car for me - 2009 Honda Fit

Got my 2009 base Fit in September 2008, so have now driven it for nearly 9 months. It does everything I had hoped from great gas mileage--35 mpg in 90% suburban driving--to cargo carrying. (I have hauled an extra large size electric range, and my bike will fit in the back with both wheels still on). Mileage dropped to 32 mpg in the 20 degree temperatures of December and January but is back near 36 mpg in May. It is really fun to drive as well as cute and functional. Im heading on a 1500-mile road trip to south Florida from Asheville next week so will report on highway mileage and trip comfort after that but everything so far is really great.

  • New 09 Fit - 2009 Honda Fit

Ive had my Fit for about two weeks now. It truly is a "BIG" little car. Amazing how much room is inside and how zippy it is. I think it cools really well in hot sun. I am also pleasantly surprised because Im getting right around 35 mpg - and that is mainly city driving (75%). Im very pleased so far with this vehicle and would recommend it to anybody.

  • Fuel economy is exceptional - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

Have purchased 09 Fit Sport (auto). Never feel any regrets to have it. With 500 miles on it and the fuel economy is exceptional: 39/44.5/42.5 - Hope (and believe) to get new MPG of 40/48/45 pretty soon. Would recommend this new (2009) Fit to anyone who really like the big saves.

  • Happy with purchase - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

I purchased my Fit in March of 2009. Ive had the car for 3 weeks now, and love it. I purchased my Fit as a second car, my primary car is a Honda Accord. I purchased the vehicle, because I travel to clients daily, and I wanted a car that was good on gas, reliable, and comfortable. I looked at the Toyota Yaris, I didnt like the center dash, and the Scion, but I liked the Fit better. The car is very roomy inside, Im 60 and weigh over 300 Lbs., and Im very comfortable, even on trips over 1 hour. After 3 weeks, I have no complaints at all, and Im very happy with my purchase.

  • Downsizing from an SUV - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

I thought I could never drive anything but an SUV. Been driving one since 1984. I just purchased my Fit in 1/09. I was surprised to find out I really do enjoy it. Its a little lower but other than that, I really dont miss all the bells and whistles, especially when I realized the gas mileage. It all evened out. I recommend this vehicle.

  • This car breathes - 2009 Honda Fit

Im 63 200lbs and plenty of room to spare in the car. I love manual transmission cars, and wow is the Fit a real treat. Theyve designed the engine in such a way that there is always enough over-lapping torque. Ie. Downshifting especially in traffic is extremely smooth. As a result, Im never hesitant about going in overdrive. Unlike almost all other manual shifting cars, the Fit seems to always get enough air into the engine. It feels like it has the lung capacity of Michael Phelps inside Shawna Johnsons body. It may sound odd to others, but I actually love to drive this car slow. The engine really knows how to purr with little sips of gas.

  • Great mini-car! - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

Purchased the Fit 1 month ago today. Have since traveled 1500 fun loving miles. It has taken awhile to get used to some quirks (rear suspension, higher center of gravity), but am glad went with decision to buy. Its hard to believe the Fit is Hondas new "entry level" - there are many items standard which were upgrades, or not available, on prior car (2000 Civic LX). Looking forward to many years of ownership.
