  • Fell in love with the Fit - 2009 Honda Fit

Just bought my Honda Fit Sport-it was love at first sight. Great car, Honda has at least a 9+, in this one. Interstate driving is a breeze, When I started looking I was gong to check out the Toyota Yaris, but stopped by the Honda dealer first, and that is as far as I got. It rides great, is sporty looking, and has great fuel mileage and its not even broke in yet.

I bought an 07 Fit which I loved. After visiting the dealership for an oil change I saw the 09 and had to drive it. I dont know how, but Honda, once again has proven it can make the best even better. I bought the 09 with navigation and love it. Now I own two Fits. After years of being a Chevy driver and switching to these Hondas I will say I dont miss having my car in the shop every other month; and to top it off, Honda actually honors their product warranties unlike Chevy. I guess thats why some are making it in this economy and others arent.

Ive been driving my AT Base Fit for three months now and couldnt be happier with it. I love everything about it. Just drove 300 miles on a highway at 75 mph and got 40.4 mpg. The Fit is a really great car!

I agree with all the positives that people have included in their reviews. I look forward to driving my Fit each day. I have read many of these reviews and have been surprised that not one person, as far as I have read, has complained about the door panels where your elbow rests. If you use your elbow and lift yourself up a bit to adjust your seating position, it causes these areas to now be cracked underneath the fabric. You cant see it but you can feel it with your finger if you lightly push down on it. This has now happened to both front doors and one of the back ones. I hope it is covered under warranty.

After driving all US products, most being of the midsize or full size variety, I am pleasantly impressed with this Honda import. It is a far cry from the FWD 4cyl cars from the 1980s I had driven and it brings some Asian/European design characteristics that have been sorely lacking from US products. My other vehicle is a 2000 Ford F150 with a 4.2L V6 and 5 spd manual OD so the Sport paddle shifters were something I liked rather well given that I want to have more control over gear changes. My wife loves the regular auto mode for her driving. It is fast enough for normal mortals and feels firm and responsive. It is too early to give MPG, but did 26.5 on a mixed test drive at dealer.

I eagerly awaited the arrival of the 09 Fit because, at 66", I just wasnt comfortable in the old Fit without telescopic steering wheel. When I showed up at the dealer, they said are you sure you want such a small car. They recommended someone at my height would be much happier in an Accord. Well, they were all astonished to see how well I Fit into this small car. And I drove off with my mountain bike safely stowed in the back. This car is amazing value; I love driving it compared to my previous Audi A6 mainly because it sips fuel. But also its just plain fun to drive. My advice: if you can handle manual, go for it. The automatic felt much more sluggish for some reason

Fun to drive, comfortable and roomy on long trips. 38 mpg at 70 mph.

I bought this car after my 7year old van began to cost me more and more. I was trying to stretch it a little longer while I researched this cars overall value and others experiences. I was hooked on its looks and functions to say the least. The fuel economy is outstanding and I have cut my monthly fuel cost by 60 percent. I average about 36 driving around town. I have owned a lot of different vehicles and this car is a winner. For driving such a great little car with big features sure puts a smile on my face. My neighbors mentioned how kool it looks. I get people always asking about it. Great car with or without hybrid technology. Buy one and have fun saving $$$$.

  • Exceptional fuel economy - 2009 Honda Fit

Ive purchased this new 2009 Fit (Sport, auto). Exceptional fuel economy. Exceeded EPA rating!!! Have put 650 miles on it and the mix drivings: 39/44.7/42.3 (fastest speed is 80/85 mph and slowest is 40/45 mph) - Would recommend this lovely car to anyone! I can see the new EPA as of 38/48/45 pretty soon after engine breakdown.

  • A lot of space in a little car - 2009 Honda Fit

After owning a used 95 Nissan Altima for many years (and it now costing more to fix than it is worth each year), I decided to purchase a new car. I am very glad I waited for the 2009 Fit. It sounds much better than the 2008 when driving. It is very comfortable to sit in, the stereo sounds great, and the display lights are easy on the eyes. It provides a lot of storage space for a small car. I have to cart my recycle garbage can to a central dump site and occasionally buy large things to cart home (e.g., today, four 4x 3.75 sheets of plywood). I love that the seats fold up or down to provide the extra space. I purchased the sport only because the base did not have cruise control.
