  • The Fit is GO GO GO - 2009 Honda Fit

I was extremely unhappy with my PT Cruiser (*ahem* PT LOSER) and did a LOT of research on the Fit and comparable vehicles. I test drove the Fit, Yaris, Cube, and Versa. I even drove the Yaris for 2 days while deciding. But after those 2 days, the decision was easy. The Fit by FAR blew the competition away. I have DOUBLED my mpg over the PT. Cargo space is amazing, and have easily fit my two large greyhounds, and last week a 6 foot industrial clothing rack. Have put 1800 miles on it in about a month. Fit also made list of greenest cars. Drove over a nail this week and the TPMS alerted me to low tire pressure. Now I look forward to driving every day, instead of wondering if my car will start!

  • 07 to 09 Fit - 2009 Honda Fit

I had an 07 Fit and was very happy, but there were some design flaws - front window and seating. I recently purchased 09 sport with navi and am IN LOVE. The difference is like comparing a real car to a toy, not that the 07 was bad, its just the way of all cars, 2nd gen is better than the first. Also, the car talks - how cool is that?

Had it in the shop six time already for problems with transmission, squeaks, and rattles. Nav wont work when it rains. Water leaks. Terrible build quality.

2 weeks and 1K miles later, we love the car. 34 mpg first tank and better thereafter, to almost 40. Very smooth, peppy, and comfortable. Surprisingly roomy, but were keeping our Sienna.

Im a Honda fan and had been looking at the Civic . I had seen the Fit from a distance and thought it was too small. When you really look at it seriously, you will become a believer in the Fit. It has plenty of power. You can drive in the high RPM with paddle shifter, but you will suffer on the MPG. It has all the power features. There are many seat configurations and are easy to adjust. I just got my first real mileage numbers in 75 highway/25city driving: 39 MPG and I wasnt trying to conserve fuel. Everyone in my family is enjoying driving the Fit.

This is an ideal subcompact with a high fun to drive factor and great fuel economy (even though it is a bit pricey with navi).

Ive only had the car for a couple days and I already love it. The interior space, high mpg, overall design, and driving experience are great. Although, I dont really need the nav system, I do enjoy it and love the voice activation feature. Its just a great all around car that looks pretty cool in black. And for a little car with 117 hp/107 ft.lbs. torque its a fun little car to drive and the 5 spd manual is spot on. This car deserves some awards from the automotive press for sure "Of the Year" or "10 best" you know who you guys are! Way to go Honda!

  • Good Fit - 2009 Honda Fit

Traded in an 2009 Civic Si for the Fit Sport and so far am very happy. Of course it does not have the HP of the Civic but the overall drive, visibility, utility and fuel economy cannot be beat within its class. Having had the car for one week I just re-fueled and calculated an average of 43mpg (on-board display read 47.6mpg) with a 70/30 highway/urban commute. Highway handling is not quite as tight as the civic due to the higher profile, but handling and maneuverability around town more than compensates. I almost bought a MINI but needed the extra space and four doors, and this Fit the profile. Will update after the first oil change.

  • Great small family car - 2009 Honda Fit

I drive two small children, their car seats and a double stroller around San Diego on a daily basis, and I am glad I chose this car. The cargo space behind the rear seats is cavernous for a car this size. The legroom in the backseat is awesome, but I havent been seeing the stellar gas mileage everyone else is getting. With 60/40 driving its average is 30 mpg with 200 miles on it so far. Im sure that will improve. Im not too impressed with the a/c. It was barely cranking out any cold air and the past few days were over 100. This car could also use darker tint on the rear windows. And Im having a few issues with the power door locks. The red with chrome wheels turns a lot of heads.

  • Honda Fit Sport is the BEST - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

I have owned my 2009 Fit Sport for 3 1/2 months and must say this is one of the BEST cars I have ever had. The gas mileage is MUCH better than the sticker. The lowest mileage I have seen is 34 MPG (thats mostly city driving, too!). It "fits" me well, very comfortable, lots of room for storage, handles like a pocket rocket and turns on a dime. The folks at Sunny King Honda took excellent care of me and treated me like an intelligent buyer, not just a "monthly payment". The service department has been tremendous, their level of care and professionalism is outstanding. I would suggest BOTH this car and this dealership if youre in the market for true Honda Quality. The FIT is GO!
