Just bought and received an 09 Fit Sport. Feels very tight, and the first hundred miles are amazing. Its getting substantially better mileage than the EPA ratings. The car tracks very true and feels like a more expensive vehicle. The interior is finished very well and the changes from the 08 model are the perfect improvements. The wheels have a very sporty look to them and it sticks to the ground nicely. Radio is fantastic and the interaction with the iphone is perfect. Overall I would rate this vehicle as as close to 10 as you can get The price and quality are second to none.

  • Great Little Car - 2009 Honda Fit

The Fit is a great car for people on the go. Driving it to work everyday, Ive been getting mpg in the low-mid 30s. The little freeway driving Ive done so far has been in the mid-high 30s. Being so small, its a breeze to parallel park. Its also a pretty quiet car. The visibility is amazing and the slanted windshield makes it feel like a much bigger car.

I just got the 2009 Fit Sport AT yesterday. Im very happy with the acceleration and handling when entering the highway. Im getting 35 mpg so far in mixed highway/city traffic (in Houston). However it looks like the mpg will continue to increase. Visibility is excellent and the Nav is easy to use. Voice command can be a source of hilarity. The ride is smoother than my Subaru WRX but a little rougher than Honda Civic. Cockpit feels airy and open. Driving position/feel is a cross between driving a small sedan (Civic) and a small SUV (Element).

  • Best in class! - 2009 Honda Fit

Car is a blast to drive. The stiff suspension provides a smooth and stable ride with incredible steering response and accident avoidance capability. I am just laughing at people who complains about the harsh ride. The ride is not harsh it is just stiff, and that gives the Fit incredible handling and agility. I got the Taffeta White which is sleek and clean-look.

  • Love my new Fit! - 2009 Honda Fit

This is the first Honda I have purchased, but it will certainly not be the last. As such a reasonably priced vehicle, I am astonished by the finish quality and roominess of a "compact" auto such as this. 5 adults fit comfortably and there is plenty of space with the seats down. Best yet, it is fun to drive!

  • First truly new car and enjoying it! - 2009 Honda Fit

I spent a LOT of time looking at the cars in the this category and eventually couldnt find a better deal than the Fit Sport. I was able to get one at invoice. Couldnt find the exact one I wanted because finding a Sport manual w/Nav is like looking for the Loch Ness monster. Dont bother getting any simple options from the dealer, they are priced crazy. $150 for floormats (including install charge); found them on-line for $72. Ive had the car for going on 3 weeks and over all I am very pleased with it, and find I can live with the cars quirks.

I have owned this car for one week and I am so happy with my choice. Very fun to drive, great acceleration and braking. Handles very well and has an excellent interior layout and dash design. I am averaging 32 mpg which is mostly stop and go traffic in the burbs. Coming from a bulky minivan, I love the ease of driving, parking, backing up etc. The room inside this car is truly amazing. I dont miss the van at all!

Great little car, fun to drive and great gas mileage. Just hit 900 miles average 38 mpg. Honda has another winner. Miss some of the toys in our other Hondas.

I dont get where some reviewers feel this car can get pricey. This car has excellent quality, is fun to drive, and is super practical, without ever feeling like an entry level car (unlike a Yaris or Versa). I traded in a 2006 MINI for my Fit Sport, accepting a loss in the "fun to drive factor" Was I wrong! The car is a hoot to drive. Its composed, sporty, but doesnt tire you out. No, its not a MINI, but its more practical, cheaper, and surprisingly, gets a lot of looks by people on the street. Given the poor service history I received with my MINI compared to the reputation of Honda service, I look forward to a long relationship with this "Big" little car!

Have driven 500 miles in my 09 FIT (5A). Love the sport mode and shift paddles, but am settling into the Auto mode for higher MPG. Get 42 MPG on pure highway. 26-3 2MPG in mixed rather hilly driving. Seats and ride are nice & firm. Reasonably quiet on highway. Stereo and the Ipod connection are great. Luggage space and the magic folding rear seats are truly amazing for this size car. Overall, I love the car - cant wait to start it up in the morning.
