  • Best of the Best - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

I bought this car after my 7year old van began to cost me more and more. I was trying to stretch it a little longer while I researched this cars overall value and others experiences. I was hooked on its looks and functions to say the least. The fuel economy is outstanding and I have cut my monthly fuel cost by 60 percent. I average about 36 driving around town. I have owned a lot of different vehicles and this car is a winner. For driving such a great little car with big features sure puts a smile on my face. My neighbors mentioned how kool it looks. I get people always asking about it. Great car with or without hybrid technology. Buy one and have fun saving $$$$.

  • Exceptional fuel economy - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

Ive purchased this new 2009 Fit (Sport, auto). Exceptional fuel economy. Exceeded EPA rating!!! Have put 650 miles on it and the mix drivings: 39/44.7/42.3 (fastest speed is 80/85 mph and slowest is 40/45 mph) - Would recommend this lovely car to anyone! I can see the new EPA as of 38/48/45 pretty soon after engine breakdown.

  • A lot of space in a little car - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

After owning a used 95 Nissan Altima for many years (and it now costing more to fix than it is worth each year), I decided to purchase a new car. I am very glad I waited for the 2009 Fit. It sounds much better than the 2008 when driving. It is very comfortable to sit in, the stereo sounds great, and the display lights are easy on the eyes. It provides a lot of storage space for a small car. I have to cart my recycle garbage can to a central dump site and occasionally buy large things to cart home (e.g., today, four 4x 3.75 sheets of plywood). I love that the seats fold up or down to provide the extra space. I purchased the sport only because the base did not have cruise control.

I couldnt be happier. I went from an SUV to the best economy car. Gets great gas mileage and maneuverability is a blast!

  • Best Honda Ever - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

I bought my new Fit Sport 4 days ago and already have 500 miles on it! It is a blast to drive. I drove from LA to Palm Springs and all around town and my mileage was... 44 mpg! I was shocked it was so good. I have owned 2 Honda Accords and 1 Honda Civic and this Fit is far better in quality than any of them. If you are considering a small car with good gas mileage this is the one!

  • Better than my mazda 3 hatch - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

I traded my 2007 Mazda 3 hatch M in for the fit. I have to say I like this car much more. In every day driving this car puts a bigger smile on my face. Obviously you cant push it as hard and when passing on the highway the Mazda was far superior. Seriously though, this car just makes you smile every time you get in it. If you can drive a manual car this is so fun to shift and smooth with a little practice. The ride is smooth for a car of this class Engine noise is a bit loud at high revs, and wind noise is a slightly intrusive at highway speeds but never punishing. I forgot how fun it is to drive a small low powered car hard.

  • Shes our "Hissy" Fit - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

Weve had "Hissy" for 3 weeks and shes our favorite little girl. Averaged 43 MPG on her 1st tankful with small town SC driving. Love everything about "Hissy" including the mileage, great little stereo sound for a 4 speaker base, fun to drive 5 speed MT, rock solid handling and feel, all of the safety air bags surrounding both front and back seat occupants, the 10 cup holders (8 in the front, 2 in the back), the voluminous cavern for hauling with the rear seats in the "magic" down mode, and best of all, knowing that Honda has built a fantastic hatchback with big time reliability. Love!

  • Excellent Snow Handling - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

I have the Fit Sport with navi in manual transmission - it has VSA and ABS. It has excellent handling in the snow. 2 days ago we had snow here in New York, and in our area we had about 6 inches. I decided to try out the ABS system and the VSA system of the car. So I drove on streets that were not yet plowed, particularly on those with some elevation, so the car had to climb. Having manual transmission, I was able to drive slow, (the proper way of driving in snow). I was in full control all the time. Not once did the wheels spin or slide - because the VSA corrected it immediately. I was passing SUVs and minivans in the Palisades Parkway who could not make in elevated inclines.

  • Fitness of Fit - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

My Honda Fit drives like a sports car, carries cargo like a small SUV, reduces environmental impact and fuel consumption like a hybrid without the cost and complexity and is build solid and strong (no rattles, no squeeks no leaks). My mpg is averaging 40.7. The only hesitation was the size because I have never owned a car in this size category (subcompact). So far I think I made a good decision.

  • First 1100 miles ! - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

I took delivery of my Honda Fit Sport on September 4th ! The Sport seems to be the only model available in California . I have been driving back and forth to work for two weeks now . I drive down to near sea level from 3300 ft , so down hill one way and up hill the other way . I have driven at either 50 or 55 mph deliberately to see what the best fuel economy could be . You should also realize that I would get better fuel mileage had I driven these speeds on the flat ! I am a professional driver and have performed fuel tests before . I have driven 1122.7 miles which involved 4 fuel top ups . The Fit has used 26.116 us gallons this gives a fuel consumption of 42.99 mpg .
