  • Incredible Car - 2009 Honda Fit

I love the Fit. The mileage is amazing. Im getting 32 mpg in the city and 40+ on the highways. This blows the EPA estimates out of the water (28/33). The gauges at night are beautiful. The MPG gauge really helps maximize fuel economy by showing current and average MPG at the same time. The paddle shifters are very cool and help maximize economy too. You can lock into 5th gear when cruising so the transmission never down shifts when going up hills. I just love this. This cars MPGs are right in line with my Yaris liftback that has nowhere near the room or features. The USB flash drive player is so very nice! Do yourself a favor and drive the 09 Fit Sport. You will LOVE IT!

The 09 Fit sport looks small from the outside but it is impressively cozy and spacious inside. Im 60 tall and when Im sitting down I still have at least 6 inches gap between my and and the overhead interior. Just how it looks in the commercial it is very fun to drive, the handling and fuel economy is remarkable. Lots of cubic space in the back great on moving boxes, groceries, etc.

  • Couldnt be Happier - 2009 Honda Fit

Thank God I read all of the owner reviews. I would not have looked at this car, because Im not crazy about the front end (looks like a snarling cat). But all of the good reviews were right on target. It is VERY comfortable (leg room, head room, cargo space), and drives like a dream. I am missing the remote key entry and cruise control, but if I had chosen the Sport model they were included. My only complaint is that the base model really could use some front arm rests. And yes, I am getting 42 miles per gallon!

  • Honda for life - 2009 Honda Fit

First car was a Honda way back in 1980 and now so is the new one. Traded in my 2002 Civic Coupe. Coupe felt like a car that got me places, Fit is fun. Only have less than 100 km on it, but can see I am going to enjoy this car.

  • Base Fit = Great value - 2009 Honda Fit

Got the base Fit because the only feature I really wanted on the Sport was cruise control, and that wasnt worth the extra price. Keyless can be added by buying the transmitter keys online, and I negotiated with my dealer to do the key cutting and programming for free. If youre thinking Base versus Sport, the Base model rides a bit smoother and gets a bit better mileage, while the Sport is definitely "sportier" and it does have a lot of nice add-ons that you may or may not place a great value on. The Base also has a lighter color interior that you may or may not prefer over the Sport.

  • No Regrets - 2009 Honda Fit

I purchased my 2009 Fit about three weeks ago, coming from a 2003 Dodge Dakota 4x4. I thought I would regret getting rid of my truck, and now I wish I did it sooner. Not trying to be funny, but everything really does fit. I have had it full of people, cargo, and dogs without a problem. As for snow, there is about 4 inches on the ground here today and I didnt get stuck once during my 45 mile commute (I dont even have snow tires yet). This truly is an amazing engineering feat. Why buy a Mini at twice the price?

  • intial impressions are great - 2009 Honda Fit

Having had the car for two days and 200 miles, this is an initial impression only. It took a bit of time to get the steering wheel and seat adjusted to me but now my only comfort complaint is lack of leather. The manual is VERY forgiving and took a bit of getting used to as the fit replaced a Porsche 944S2 Cab 5M. Handling is tight. Good visibility. GREAT use of space with the variable seat positions. The AVG MPG display has me pegged at 40.4 with 25%city and 75% hwy and was at 41.8 after the first 120 miles of 95% hwy driving. Cant argue with that. My wife and Au pair love it and think its easy to drive. Ill addend this if anything major evolves over time.

I bought a Base Automatic for MSRP. I think I got the first one available in the state. We have been looking forward to this car for more than 6 months. Pretty much meets expectations. We have gorges here with very steep roads. Averaging 27 MPG. Our Camry was getting about 18. I was surprised by the amount of plastic in the interior. Still it feels very solid and it is fun to drive.

  • Fit, Right Car At The Right Time - 2009 Honda Fit
    By -

The Fit is the perfect vehicle to accommodate the new economic reality. Its relatively inexpensive to purchase, comfortable, versatile, reliable (its a Honda!), very fuel efficient, inexpensive to insure, good looking, safe, inexpensive to maintain, and more fun to drive than any economy car has a right to be. Its simply the right car for the times.

  • Amazing Driving Experience - 2009 Honda Fit

Bought this car moving down from a Ford Escape. Havent missed the larger vehicle because of the feel of space in the Fit. The Sport truly has a sport feel and the fuel economy is wonderful. The car is tight and quiet and gives that feeling of pleasure every time I get behind the wheel.
