Overview & Reviews
Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.
A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

Best Room for the Price - 2003 Honda Element
By Mark - November 3 - 6:54 pmBought my Element used and have been very satisfied. Stepped down from a 99 Tahoe and love the versatility and fuel economy. Goes just about anywhere with only slightly less comfort. Very stable and very manuverable in traffic.

A great little SUV for all around duty - 2005 Honda Element
By Wm. Rohrey - November 3 - 8:52 amI think this is one of the best for overall use. It has enough power to do most all jobs its ask to perform & the gas mileage is good. The use for hauling things is great & its easy to load. The only thing I see wrong is the fact that you must open the front doors to be able to open the rear doors. I guess this is a safety thing? But overall the Element has been great fun to drive & handles very well.Hope Honda makes more improvements to this car.

Great Versatile Vehicle - 2004 Honda Element
By kitrock - November 1 - 2:00 amThis Suv is perhaps the most thought out and versatile vehicle I have own. The engine is a little weak and excelleration is moderate. Fuel economy is average for Honda, but excellent when compared to other SUVs. The drive takes a while to get used to because of the long space between the driver and A-Pillar, but it drives very nice and responsive. The turning radius of the element is excellent, turns on a dime. Alot more interior room than anything in its class, especially for rear passengers. I do hear alot of road noise, mostly from the wind, because of the square non- aerodynamic shape.

Ele is great! - 2003 Honda Element
By Hark12 - October 27 - 2:40 pmI love my Element...It is wonderful for carrying my greyhound, luggage, bikes and husband all at the same time! I do wish that the rear windows rolled down- the dog misses sticking her head out of the window while were driving. My only other qualm is the location of the moonroof- I paid for the car- I should be able to look up at the clouds!! I would highly recommend the element to anyone who wants a small SUV that gets good gas mileage and has plenty of room (we also carried our Christmas tree home in the Element last year- we stood it up and poked the top through the moonroof!)

The new Mini Van - 2004 Honda Element
By bobbeary - October 27 - 10:00 amGreat Car. Everyone that has small kids or goes to ourdoor activities a lot will love this car. It is waterproof, so if you ever have a bad spill in the car, just wash it down and watch the water drain out of the bottom of the car. Very easy to drive and a good turning radius.

Love It! - 2004 Honda Element
By nsipn - October 16 - 10:00 amYes, you may get the occasional stare from other cars, but regardless of its appearance, its a great car (of course it is a honda). It rides well, not to bad on gas, and the inside is pretty cool. My only complaint is there is no vanity mirror on the drivers side.
