Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

  • River Vehicle - 2004 Honda Element

Bought the Element because we were looking for an alternative to a truck and for something that had pizazz. We haul a lot of stuff back and forth to our river house and needed flexability in loading up the vehicle. Have had Hondas in the past (last vehicle was a Prelude) and the reliabilty overall is excellent from prior experiences.

  • First Element Purchase. - 2007 Honda Element

We just purchased our new 2007 Element Saturday, August 26th in Orlando. We had previously owned a 97 and a 2000 CR-V. The 07 Element was too cool to pass up. So far we have really enjoyed the Element, I didnt want a 4 speed auto transmission, so that was the reason for not purchasing an 06. Our earlier CR-Vs had the 4 speed auto and I always thought another gear would have made the performance better on those vehicles. After 150 miles both my wife and I, along with our Lab, love the Element. Now we are waiting to see how the fuel mileage works out.

This all new Element is totally awesome. I was going to get a 2006 EX-P but I thought Id wait for the 2007 and all its new features. Have already slept in it. And also goes on back roads wonderfully.

Buying a Honda Element is highly recommended if your are looking for a samll SUV. This vehicle is well built and plenty fun to drive. I use it as a work vehicle and find the adaptability of this vehicle is fantastic. It is easy to keep clean and maintain and is a rock solid vehicle. Being a Honda, this car will last me well over 150K miles given proper maintenance.

  • LOVE IT - 2006 Honda Element

I do a lot of mountain driving. For a 4 banger this vehicle has a lot of pep. i removed the back seats to accommodate the load I usually carry. Tons of room! I love the smooth engine. The only con I can think of is that it pulls to the right because of torque on the front drive wheels. the right drives more than the left.

  • Perfect - 2005 Honda Element

This vehicle is fabulous! The interior design is great. Despite only seating 4 it holds a ton and is roomy due to the design and flexibility of moving seats etc. It has a tiny turn radius, better than my previous coupe! I have the 5 speed and get really good gas mileage.

  • quirky looks, versatile vehicle - 2005 Honda Element

Very fun to drive. Still a head turner. More interior room than my Nissan minivan, but shorter and easier to park. No mechanical problems to date. My 1st Honda, very impressed. Very solid, super leg and head room, only seats 4 though. I can haul just about anything and the interior floor matting is wonderful - I never want carpet again. Great for dog, crates and plants. No problem with the tall stance, the wind does not buffet it on the highway. The 5 speed manual transmission is a joy. Great sound, like the power outlets. Love the location of the shifter. Fun, fun, fun!!!

  • The Perfect Solutioin - 2005 Honda Element

This is an excellent utility vehicle capable of hauling large-volume loads and filling the need for reliable and economical everyday transportation. The design inside and out was carefully considered and has proven to be ergonomically correct and durable. The styling will prove to be much more timeless than most other vehicles. Resale value remains excellent.

  • Roomy - 2003 Honda Element

Its roomy. Its tough. Most people cant believe the space available when the seats are folded up or removed. The armrest on the passenger seat should be standard. That would be a plus.

  • Driving in HD! - 2003 Honda Element

When I first took a test drive I immediatly fell in love. I was always afraid of driving suvs. I always drove compact vehicles but was tired of asking people to help me get and move stuff. Now with 2 large dogs, I had to bite the bullet and nothing seemed realistic to me, and I always thought the element looked cool. Umm, the turning radius on this is sick. No need to do a 3 point turn, just turn! It is like driving in high def, I feel like its a movie. Such a great car, no need to speed because you enjoy driving so much, and usually I hate being the one to drive but now I love it.
