Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

Amazing room, great versatility, lacking in some pick up speed. Miles per gallon could be better. Reliability is bullet-proof, day in day out. Comfort, ride, superior build quality. Easily a 10.

I am so excited about owning and driving my new Honda Element. Almost every where I go, people stare. It is a pleasure to drive this vehicle. Its fun, its funky, its fast, and furious. I just love to play with my new Honda Element. I love her, she is my best friend. I have had people to ask me for a tour of my HONDA ELEMENT. This vehicle is Krazy. It just has so much room. I seem to discover something new about my HONDA ELEMENT almost every day.

My wife was against this "box" as I kept dropping the hints for the past 3 years. MUCH more comfortable for a 65, 230 male I told her. Being that the 2003 model was a rough ride (at best) - she was hesitant considering I bought it without test driving. I was not disappointed. Lots of room, fun to drive and SHE LOVES IT. Home run. Literally. :-)

Great automobile. I have 16000 miles now and have had absolutely nothing to report that has happened mechanically. I did replace one of the front panels. I scratched it severly on a bush and thought I was in for costly repair because I thought Id have to replace the entire front fender. To my great surprise all I needed to do was to order the panel that covers the fender. It just pops off and the new one pops one. The fender would have cost me some $2000 bucks where as the panel was some $40 dollars and change installed. What value.

I like the way this car/truck/suv handles . It is roomy and useful. I like the easy care of the interior. I have owned several Hondas never a complaint. I also own a 2006 Accord and am very happy with it. The Element posts 22 miles in the city and 24 hwy I get 17 city and 19 highway if I drive conservative. It drinks gas like a full size suv and the gas tank is small there is only 12 gals before the reserve. So hwy range is 250 miles not good for long trips outside of town that you might want this for. If you are looking for a suv for trips to the country look for something else.

  • What I love & dont love of my Element ! - 2005 Honda Element

I do love this car but dont like the suicide doors in parking lots. Cant load anything unless you have lots of room to open doors. I also dont like the AWD. The cars a little low. We get snow and had a hard time. Ending up pushing the snow like a snow plow. When I want 4 wheel drive I want to engage it myself. I think this car would be great with regular doors. I dont like having to open mine to let clients out of back.

This has been one of the best autos that I have ever owned. Ok youre thinking what has he owned.. (short list, (Volvo xc90, Saab (9-5, 900,99) VW Bus x2 Beetle x2. Dodge Ram). The all wheel drive is very good in Maine weather. Cargo room, stadium seating, Ipod connection. I have not had any trouble with this Element at all. Average MPG on the highway 25.8 City 20.

  • Honda Element is a great family, fun car - 2003 Honda Element

Love this vehicle and would buy another. With no carpeting, tons of space, and fold up seats, we can fit the kids and all their stuff, or appliances. Gas mileage is okay - around 21 in the city and I drive 100 miles a day. Its real comfortable on long trips, though I wish a passenger front armrest was standard. MP3 compatible, and outlets everywhere. And the best is no carpet to get smelly from wet or dirty shoes just vacuum it out, and were ready to go. Truly fun to drive, though the back seats sit up high and adults usually think its weird but I love it! Already looking to see what the new ones have, and might trade it in for another. Great family vehicle.

i have owned suvs from every car maker and this by far is the best, it is small to park and yet large to pack, drives like a dream my dogs love it, everyone i show it to, are ready to go out and get one, sorry i didnt buy one sooner, would have not wasted to much time on other suv that made me feel claustrophobic, not this element.-
