Overview & Reviews
Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.
A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

Good family car with young children - 2006 Honda Element
By Supply18 - November 29 - 9:04 amThe Element is a good car for the money. The floorboard is rubber, not carpet which keeps spill stains away. It is easy to clean and looks ok with running boards. The rear seats are raised so you can actually see where you are going from the back seat. It is easier to see when changing lanes compared to other SUVs I have driven. Gas mileage is better than most SUVs, but still not great for a Honda.

My 5th and best Honda - 2005 Honda Element
By Sold on Honda - November 29 - 8:19 amThe Honda Element is functional and great to drive. With XM radio, I have lots of music choices, too. Ive hauled furniture and boxes and taken people on sightseeing rides in the area. Great visibility for all, since the back seat is raised. Enough power and stability for me, too. And only 6 inches wider than my last Honda Civic. I especially like the molded pieces on the front and back fenders. Gas mileage is okay for a heavy vehicle. I traded in my 2000 Honda Civic Coupe and find the Element seating to be more comfortable. Good maneuverability.

Element is an Excellent Family Car - 2007 Honda Element
By William Grandy - November 28 - 11:09 pmExcellent interior features. Great leg room for children. XM Radio is a huge upgrade over basic auto radio. This a great choice for familys with 2 small children. Functional with personality. A better city car than FJ Cruiser. Visibility takes getting used to. Definitely needs upgrades like fog lights and roof rack to complete the package.

Good truck-van-SUV - 2006 Honda Element
By Elemental - November 28 - 9:05 amI got a great deal. This is really multipurpose. I thought it was somewhat homely but its grown on me quickly. The AWD does great in the snow. I was actually shocked how well the AWD worked. The OEM top of the line stereo is typical blah but other than that this is one heck of a SUV, truck, van or car LOL for the money!

One sweet ride - 2007 Honda Element
By Wyatt - November 27 - 7:17 pmI test drove it, I bought it. Drove it home the same day. I traded in a Nissan 4x4 and wanted something different and looked cool on the road. Meets my expectations. The reviews posted here, are accurate. Good value for the $$ and I would expect Honda reliability.

I am in my Element - 2003 Honda Element
By Sue - November 25 - 4:21 pmI bought someones deal gone bad so I got some toys I might not have added to the vehicle, but I am glad I have them now. It is fun to drive. The manual shift lever is very handy (short throw)- positioned like a sports car. I love being high off the road and everyone is AMAZED at the room inside it. I use it for moving around displays and large boxes in my business.
