Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

  • 2007 Big Improvement Over 2004 - 2007 Honda Element

I traded my 2004 Element for a 2007. I was surprised at how much better the 2007 edition is. It is a nicer and safer vehicle to drive. Even with the opportunity to get a different vehicle, the decision was easy to buy another Element. The 2004 was great. Its amazing the things I hauled in that vehicle: a refrigerator, 40 bags of mulch, two love seats...each time with the rear hatch closed.

  • Super SUV! - 2005 Honda Element

I havent had my Element for quite a year yet, but I love it! Its got some major get-up & go considering its a 4CYL., & its an SUV. I love driving it, I feel very safe in it, its practical and a HONDA! A month after we got the Element we drove it from Ohio to Florida, of course being brand new, it was great. We occasionally take little road trips and ("knock on wood") it has been so wonderful, weve had no problems. We recently drove to VA Beach over the weekend, we stopped @ a rest area and slept better than in our bed! The things I would change are more materialistic items, but youre paying a good price for the name, you mihgt as well get al lthe bells & whistles!

I have driven the Element in snow, off- road and on highways. The vehicle seems to be at home wherever I go. I am getting about 21 miles to the gallon in around town and highway mix driving. The interior is functional and is exactly what I wanted. It allows for quick changes from passenger vehicle to cargo carrier to wet dog carrier. The radio is outstanding and the controls on the steering wheel make driving and changing stations much easier. Overall I would rate this as an outstanding vehicle for someone who is between getting a truck or a van and doesnt need seating for 5+.

  • Love my Honda! - 2007 Honda Element

I never really use to like the Honda Element. However after test driving one, I am hooked! I ended up buying one from Boch Honda on the Auto Mile. I LOVE how the Element handles and drives. All my friends cannot get over how much room there is on the inside. I love how easy the seats in the back fold up to create even more room. I will definitely purchase another Honda!

  • Great Ride - 2003 Honda Element

Love this car. Will buy another one when my truck needs replacing. Maybe Honda will add more horsepower later in the production. Power is actually good, but it would be even more fun with more horses.

  • Better than a MiniVan - 2003 Honda Element

My wife wanted a minivan because she kept hitting her head or the babys head while getting into a Civic sedan. She saw how convenient the sliding doors are on them. I didnt want a minivan, so I showed her the Element. Perfect! Its easy to get in and out of with a baby. Its child proof! Its roomy! It looks great in black! Its also very stable and picks it nose up in the twisties, instead of diving its nose. Great trucklet!

  • Excellent - 2005 Honda Element

For the price, it is very good. If you have big animals that you take on the go, it is more than perfect! Underneath the back hatch handle is a piece of plastic(handle) used for closing it, comes out very easily. The flooring gets scratched easily, if you want it to stay in new condition, dont haul anything.

Agile handling and suprisingly spacious inside. Rear seating has more leg room than any other vehicle I have ever owned. Especially like the CD/Radio sound system.

  • Love this empty nester vehicle! - 2004 Honda Element

Great headroom, perfect for active "empty nest" lifestyle. Great for anything from loading gardening equipment to mountain bikes because of rear seat and headroom and also great to wash out when dirty! Love the handling and the fun of the drive. ALso like its distinctive shape.

the reason i love this car is because i tend to go surfing and snowboarding a lot and it just seems very versatile when it comes to these thigs, so if your an outdoor person, you need this vehicle, besides the fact that it will run forever
