Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

If you can get past the styling, which grows on you after a while, the Element is a very functional car that will give you years of trouble free driving. The utility of the vehicle is outstanding. The "suicide doors" and the clamshell rear hatch are great selling points to the vehicle. The plastic floor may be great for some people who have pets, but if you dont Id suggest the carpeted floor mats that the dealer offers as an accessory. Dont be fooled by the 4 cylinder engine. It has more pickup than a lot of 6 cylinders Ive driven. Remember, the Element only seats 4 people so if you have a big family the Element may not be for you.

I have the base model LX and I am very pleased with all the features. It is very smooth, lots of pep, handling is great, and I average about 24 mpg. This is my third Honda and the quality and reliability of all of them has been outstanding.

I love my E!! I did a lot of research on this car and others, (compared high end to low end). The E was the best choice for our small but active family. I love the look, very comfortable and extremely roomy for us and our sons 6 ft friends. I emailed several dealers to get pricing I was satisfied with. I love how "open" the car is with its big windows. It is a great priced vehicle. I feel like I got a quality product, and can still afford to travel and put food on the table:) Insurance rate did not change too much. Other E owners have told me how great the car is in snow and ice,son cant wait to go snowboarding to see what it can do at the mt. Plenty of room for his sports and snow gear.

Only had our orange Element for a week, so not long enough for meaningful commentary on experience. So, far however we are pleased with performance. The ride is more typical of a truck in that you feel the bumps. But, its utility aspects are what sold us. Very useful vehicle at a reasonable price.

Heads turn where ever I go especially in the snow where the automatic 4 wheel drive works betther than my Jeep Cherokee did. The interior is great for travel with no worries of getting the car messy because everything come right out. Biking and camping, this car is made for the work week and the extreme weekends that can be afforded with this cars price.

the car is so practical. there are so many things that you can do with this car. packing the car with many items is easy. so many other cars are not practical, just made to look attractive and comfort and interior room count more for the drivers.

I bought this car primarily because it was affordable, had a plethora of fun features, and looked original. I had no idea about the best feature that this car offers---its head-turning ability. I have had the car for 3 days, and Ive already given half a dozen tours and been asked questions by another motorist while speeding down the highway. Great fun.

I was looking for a vehicle to take and return two children from college. Additionally I would use it for large major purchases. and home projects to include gardening. For its price there is nothing that even came close to compete with the Element.

  • Great, great vehicle! - 2007 Honda Element

We just bought our 2007 Element a few weeks ago, and we already cant get enough of it. My wife and I wanted something different, and we are now the envy of all of our friends. No one can believe how roomy it is. There is plenty of room for your gadgetry and other stuff. The back seat has plenty of leg room for your guests. Would definitely recommend for anyone that is looking to wow their friends and family! LOVE the in dash XM Satellite Radio - I dont know how we lived w/o it before buying this car. All of this cool stuff - AND Honda quality! Overall grade is A+.
