Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

The cool factor of this vehicle is amazing but that is secondary to its great utility and function. It is just brilliantly designed to serve as a base camp for active livestyles.

I am in a wheelchair. I got the Element because the backseats would hang and the back door opened like a van. I could pop my 15 pound wheelchair behind the drivers seat and go.

This vehicle is every reson to own a Honda. It is a solid well built car. It is compact on the outside. Huge well designed hauling space on the inside. Seats are wide and comfortable. The engine is a bit under powered. Fuel economey is a true 23 mpg

. The Honda Element caught my eye and the look became somewhat infectious. Now that I had a chance to drive the Element for about a month, I’m very pleased with the purchase. From the outside of the Element, it looks like a small box, open the doors and it has enough room for most items that I need to haul around. The Element has a stiffer ride, but it’s nothing that I can’t live with. The Element has a very simple interior control layout and all the knobs are easy to understand. All in all, Honda has put their best foot forward in leading the automotive community but without compromising the “HONDA STANDARDS”.

  • What a cool vehicle - 2003 Honda Element

This is the perfect vehicle. It has a nice, quiet ride, outstanding sound system, and is just a pleasure to drive. Very roomy. Easy to get in and out of and very easy access to the back seats. I love that it has theatre like seating so the rear passangers are able to see over the drivers head.

  • Excellent Buy - 2005 Honda Element

Must admit took me a little bit to get used to the shape of the Element when I first looked at it at the dealership, but when I took it for a test drive I fell in love with it. The element is the most practical, well though out vehicle that I have ever purchaced. I definitely recommend this vehicle for any age or lifestyle!

  • Its perfect for me - 2003 Honda Element

Since I go to the beach or car/camping nearly every weekend it is perfect. If you remove or lift the backseats you have a flat surface to sleep on and its long enough with the seats pushed forward for someone well over 6 feet to lay down no problem. Its so easy to clean out sand, dirt and dog hair. This was the vehicle I was waiting for. Also the 4wd is great in rain.

  • Practical car with hidden benifits - 2005 Honda Element

I bought this car b/c it was inexpensive and seemed practical. I have to admit I was attracted to its styling also. It looked cool. The car has been good to me. The biggest plus I have to say is space. Dont let it fool you, there is a lot of room inside. I was able to move between apartments in 3 trips with this car, fitting beds, desks, etc. It is not for long distance, and is loud at high speeds. It doesnt get too dirty, and has so much room to put stuff, wallets, keys, phone, anything. The mp3 audio port is a great feature. I need something faster and better looking though, so am trading it for Benz/BMW.

  • Just What We Expected - 2007 Honda Element

The day we bought our car we bought a puppy. This is a perfect puppy car. The back door in halves allows us to reach in and giver her a treat wthout the big door hassle. We run around here with the dog or go to Colorado with the dog. It is just right. I have had 14 Lexus cars and SUVs. Why spend the dough? This works and runs like a clock but at half price. Im a fairly tall guy and when it is cold I opt for a hat. This baby has room for me with room to spare. I like the wash down interior. My EX has the higher quality seat covers front and back. Tough durable stuff. I just came from the lumber yard. Didnt even have to pull my trailer. It is a PRACTICAL fun vehicle.

We have only had this one for about 5 months, but I can not say enough about the vehicle. We have bought about 10 cars in our lives, and this purchase was simple, and enjoyable. An absolute first for me. Quick, comfortable, and fun to drive, Honda has done itself proud.
