Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

  • Just what my wife and I needed. - 2003 Honda Element

It is so will designed and offers so much for its cost. We are 60 years old and need a single vehicle to do every thing. The Element is perfect. I took trash to the dump after hanging the rear seats up on the wall. Works greate.

Its very refreshing to finally find a well built vehicle with virtually no factory installed options. I chose this car primarily because of the ability to option it myself and the versatility factor. This car suits my lifestyle to a "T".

We bought a 2007 Element which is phenomenal in bad weather, so when the chance to pick up a 2005 model arose, it was a no-brainer. This is a different kind of SUV. Youre not going to go tearing around corners with it, but you will enjoy cruising on long rides.

Ive had my Element for a month now so I feel I can review it. The quality is top notch, this is a well put together car. The interior is simple and roomy. The exterior is streamlined and attractive! (to me anyway). It drives smooth, and accelerates well for a box, you have to push it to higher RPMs to really zoom, but the power is there if you need it. The shifter looks like its in a weird spot, but it really isnt if you think about it, Honda just opted for a shorter stick and a subwoofer. The sound system is amazing, you can alter your heartbeat with the bass if thats your thing. The doors dont bother me, but Im not moving kids around. Overall a great dead useful vehicle.

This vehicle is a riot to drive. It has so many standard features I cant list them all. It looks cool and is very useful as an utility truck. Plenty of cargo area and is a very safe car to operate. With Honda, safety comes standard. I traded in an 07 Saturn Vue and had to take a big hit on the trade, but it was worth it.

  • Love me some Element - 2005 Honda Element

One of the least expensive 4WD vehicles on the market. It has more rear seat passenger room than my Suburban. You can even recline in the backseats. Just fold the backseats up and you have tons of room. Its fun and comfortable to drive, great in snow, and its a Honda. The resale values Ive seen are really good. I own a Ford Explorer, and GMC Suburban also, but I prefer to drive the element. The next vehicle I purchase will be another Honda Element. For the money and qualty get the Element.

This one really meets my needs. Will carry my 4 dogs and garden supplies without worry of soiling the interior. Compact exterior masks an incredibly roomy interior. Perfect for a rear facing child seat, easiest car ever for getting baby in and out. Manual shift off the floor is great, you can easily climb from front to back without getting out of the car. I average 24.5 M/P/G on country roads. Also love the light from sun roof over the back seats, which are usually so dark. Overall, great little SUV for protection, drivability, reliability, decent gas mileage, and lots of room - not to mention that it is SO CUTE.

I LOVE this car. It makes me happy. I can drive it. I can sleep in it. I can haul in it. My mother has a hard time getting in the back seat because the rear floor is high. Other than that, its a perfect car.

Am very happy with the way it handles. Did great on my trip to Colorado. Great power going through the mountains.Nice ride. Comfortable.Couldnt even feel the gears shift while climbing or going downhill. The cruise control did very good. Breaking was smooth, even on hard breaks. Its very roomy for not looking that big on the outside.Big view through the windsheild.DC and MP3 plugins. Easy to park.I have a bad back and the height to sit and get out is very comfortable,......My wife and i have gotten a lot of nice compliments from total strangers.

I love my Element. Its so roomy and not all cramped and confining. My husband is not a small man and in some small SUVs his head actually touches the roof and theres no leg room. He is very comfortable whether riding or driving. Weve taken several vacations in our Element too. Great gas mileage, fun to drive. I love how the back seats lay all the way flat, fold to the side or come completly out to create more cargo space. And when youre riding in the back the seats actually sit higher than the driver so you can see out & over the people in the front. My dog is a taxi for my two Boxers and they love to go for rides. Overall very very staisfied element owner!
