The 2004 Honda Element lineup gets an LX model to slot between the existing DX and EX models. New equipment on EX models includes keyless entry, a passenger-seat armrest as standard, and bungee-cord fasteners on the driver-side front and rear seat backs.
- Impressively versatile interior, optional all-wheel drive, smooth four-cylinder engine, styled as if out of a Japanese animation movie.
- Only seats four, clamshell doors hinder entry/exit for rear-seat passengers.

Just what I needed - 2004 Honda Element
By jollygreen - July 8 - 2:00 amFirst time I saw one I thought it was the ugliest thing going. When I looked closer and did my research I couldnt wait to get in one. I ski, snowshoe, camp, fish and unfortunately have to commute everyday. This is about as near to perfect as a vehicle can get for my needs. ONLY SUV I have ever considered buying. Why? Because of its LEV engine and MPG. Its as good or better than most cars so no enviornmental guilt here. Compare and you will buy.

By John Wilmot - May 30 - 3:53 amVery reliable vehicle...low maintenance and very versatile rear seats for hauling various things. Rear "suicide" doors are somewhat awkward in parking lots..city mileage 20mpg with 5 spd manual trans.

By glennf - January 13 - 10:00 ami purchesed the gallopagose green for its conservative appeal. the paint has held up well through ice, mud and shopping carts! the fuel economy is good with out the a/c on but is poor when on. the inside is well suited for on the go people, like my two shepherds a bike and me! overall i could not have asked for a more versatile mini-suv for the price. thanks honda! glenn houton, tx

Honda Element Experience (new) - 2004 Honda Element
By Brooksro - March 9 - 10:00 amIve only had it a few days, but like it a lot. Got only 18 gallons on first tank, so am still waiting to see what the future brings. Dealer may not have topped it off on delivery. It is fun to drive, responsive. It is easy to park and leaves me much more room in my garage. My wife likes it too. I moved from a 95 Nissan pickup. Road noise is way less in the Element. I dont have to turn the radio up when I get on the freeway.

By G. Luna - November 13 - 6:44 pmIve logged less than 1,000 miles but will be driving it across the country in a few days so I should know more soon. My German Shepherd likes it a lot more than my last car a 2dr 1997 Jeep Wrangler. More comfortable and AC! The exterior has its share of scratches and dings but I live on the Navajo reservation so I can expect some exterior wear with no worries. Not a beast but it cruises at a decent speed. RPMs jump when climbing modest grades. Functional vehicle.

My Chubby Element - 2004 Honda Element
By ALC - August 2 - 10:00 amI really like this car but I have one complaint about visibility. The driver and passenger side have a blind spot. The rather large window post can swallow a car whole and if you are not careful you could be unpleasantly surprised.
