Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

  • Im in my Element - 2004 Honda Element

This vehicle fits my lifestyle perfectly. With kid, dog, beach, camping, it is functional, easy to keep clean and easy to get in and out of. I didnt want the typical SUV and definately didnt want a mini-van. The Element provides the function without the soccer mom look. I took it to a family reunion shortly after getting my new Element and EVERYONE wanted to get inside of it and take a look. It was a hit!

It is good on snow days because i can take my children to school right away with no delay. It is very easy to clean on my own iside and on the outside. I like the subwoofer that is sitting inbetween the driver seat and the passanger seat. I know that it picks up good on the acceleration because i am always trying to get out ahead of other cars.It turns very sharp and is easy to get around the corners. It is fun to sit out in the car and watch the stars through the sun roof.

  • Boxy, unique.....and FUN! - 2004 Honda Element

Needed a commuter type vehicle that would be fun to drive, get adequate gas mileage and that would accomodate a 66" driver (me) and a 65" teenager in the rear seat.....not many to pick from given those criteria. The Element delivers! Tons of room, fun to drive, so unusual that it is "cool", and loads of honda durability and utility. Made in the US by Americans as well. Most other small SUVs dont come close on delivering this kind of package.

Especially good for large people. Not for families with more than two kids.

This new vehicle is easy to drive, easy to maintain (even near the coast), and fairly economical. It is not meant to be a Soccors Moms car, but it serves as a good alterantive to a pickup.

  • Great daily runner - 2006 Honda Element
    By -

Best daily runner I have had since my first car in 1958. Quiet, strong, rattle-free, and stable at moderate speeds. Very good on long distance trips, only one my wife can actually get some sleep in on real long night drives. Getting 26mpg on a 5-speed in mixed 50-50 driving on a daily basis. Real easy to park.

  • hondas H2? - 2003 Honda Element
    By -

ive already put almost 1,000 miles in one week on my honda H2 ; that is what most people say to me it looks like a mini hummer. Comfort is excellent, fun to drive well a 10! Interior design kids think its a playhouse and adults are wowed by the space. My trip took me from san francisco to pismo beach and i heard mostly good things from people as they mugged me in parking lots like i was j-lo! by the way most men loved it 4/5 while females where unsure 3/5. It satisfy that H2 hunger for less than half the price!

  • Love Affair With An Odd Duck - 2005 Honda Element

Havent enjoyed a "car" this much in a long time. Roomy, versatile, fun to drive, and above all, unique. Four cylinder engine provides good acceleration with decent gas mileage, and you cant beat Hondas reliability. Its not meant for serious off-roading, but the on-demand AWD is great on snowy roads. Seating for four may be drawback for some, but those for passengers will be comfortable and there is a ton of room in the back seat. The ride is firm, but not jarring. Quite nice for a small SUV, but if youre used to a Buick, it may be a little rough. Designed for active young adults, at 63 years old I dont fit the demographic. Maybe Ill take up kayaking.
