Overview & Reviews
Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.
A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

pretty good deal - 2005 Honda Element
By kathy - April 3 - 9:37 pmI purchased my Element brand new. It has really been good to me overall. the only problem I have is with gas mileage. I love my Element except for the mileage. It handles well and does very well in the snow.

Think out of the box! - 2003 Honda Element
By lovin the element - April 3 - 10:00 amMy husband and I have 2 Children under 3. We are in our late 20s. I know Honda expected this car to be for young men in their early 20s, little did they know it is a perfect alternative to the minivan. We use the fold down seats for a changing table when we are out. the kids love being able to see everything with the stadium seating. It handles almost like a car. My friends love it when the ride with me. I talked a friend into getting one and she loves hers as well.

one poblamatic element - 2007 Honda Element
By west texas element - April 3 - 1:29 amWe bought a 2007 Honda element sc model silver, 18 inch mags sc package, right now it has a little under 6000 miles on it and its been in the Honda shop a total of 4 times. First it had a noise underneath the driver side, so they said it was a strut assembly. The replaced under warranty which is good still the noise was there. We take it back the second time for another kind of noise on the driver side doors they adjusted them fixed for a while again back in the shop now said they hooked up some microphones all over it and found out the noise underneath is the steering rack? So in the shop again oh yea this thing gets very poor gas mileage, the power is lackluster and the windows are noisy

Love my E - Great Dog Car - 2004 Honda Element
By DogAddict - April 1 - 9:39 pmI LOVE my Element and am actually about to trade it in on a 2008! I have removed the back two seats and have turned into a "dog car" with crates for my 4 dogs, my Quik Shade tent, chairs and everything else I need for our weekend outings at agility trials or disc dog competitions. Its versatility is phenomenal and a friend and I kid that "Everything can fit in the E!". It drives great, has been 100% reliable. Gas mileage has been good for an SUV. I looked around a little before deciding on another E but couldnt find anything that suits my needs like the E does.

Best Car Ive Ever Owned - 2003 Honda Element
By Christopher - March 30 - 12:29 pmI now have 144,000 on my 2003 Honda. This is the only car I can honestly say I like driving more each time I get behind the wheel. I have just now had any "major" repairs done, and that was to replace the front end bushings, a normal maintenance item given the mileage. My family and I have taken trips in this car and I think my 2 teens are more comfortable in this car than my wifes Suburban.

A Honda for Moms with Kids! - 2003 Honda Element
By Emily W - March 29 - 10:00 amGreat for kids. They can make a mess, spill stuff and it just wipes up in a snap. No worries going to the beach or eating in the car. Seating lets them have a great view from back seat. Wonderful and FUN.
