Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

When I saw it I hated the color and thought it was the ugliest vehicle ever, then I drove it! It has so much room, it handles so smoothly, it drives so nicely! I love the way the seats fold up, the wipe-down surfaces, everything! I havent ever loved a vehicle until I bought my Element, its incredible!

The Element handles well and the various configurations make the SUV very user friendly. The exterior and interior design are cool, not like your everyday grocery getter. Hondas Realtime 4WD is great in the snow.

  • Great SUV - 2007 Honda Element

OK, I confess: I did convince the dealership to put carpet, floor mats, and the SC wheels on my E. There, I said it. Notwithstanding, I really love this vehicle. With the 18s it corners better than my 2007 Camry SE (manual) did. I am really amazed. True, it is not the most aerodynamic vehicle on the road, but itll pass. I love the versatility of cargo space usage. I can get a lot of stuff inside, like 6 foot trees, etc. It makes trips to home improvement stores a breeze. I like that it takes up less floor space in my garage too. Its odd that a vehicle with so much interior room is shorter than a Corolla. I enjoy my E.

I am thrilled with my Blue Tissuebox. The reason I bought the SC was because it came with the armrest with storage. Currently dealers are giving cars away cheap and this was a great deal so I couldnt pass it up. I have no problem with the mileage. It gets exactly what the sticker said. I love the steering and I feel my SC is very comfortable.

  • I love this car!! - 2005 Honda Element

I purchased a 2007 Civic brand new last year and, while I loved it, it was terrible once winter hit. I traded it in for a 2005 Element and regretted it. Now, after owning the Element for about 6 months, I wouldnt give this car up for anything. I recently had to buy another Civic because of a new job with a long commute (the gas mileage is a lot better) and I feel terrible leaving the Element in the garage while I go to work. This is truly the best car I have ever owned. The Element has an incredibly smooth ride, is easy to park, has a ton of room and is great for dog owners. I can spill things and not worry about them at all!

  • Best bang for the buck - 2008 Honda Element

The exterior is great. The front end makes it look sporty and takes some of the boxy feel away. The audio is fantastic. It has great clarity for highs and mids. I really enjoy the fact I can see all the radio and climate controls without even looking directly at them. Everything on the inside appears to be made to last for years and still look new. When driving it sounds deep instead of whiny. Its also nice in tight corners because you see where the auto ends unlike some vehicles where you cant even see the hood. I also like where the seat belt rest. Over all visibility is great too.

  • Great all around vehice - 2006 Honda Element

This is the perfect car for dog lovers. The floor is entirely plastic so there is not worry about hair removal. The seats are waterproof and tough for excellent wear. I love driving it.

As far as the mileage - this vehicle is a great downsizer from larger SUVs. I guarantee it will hold more stuff than your larger SUVs out there- due to its design. And still its power only drains about 22 \ 24 avg mpg. Great vehicle- very happy with it.

  • Love my little milk truck! - 2003 Honda Element

I LOVE my new Element so far. I bought the 2003 Galapagos green metallic, 2WD, automatic EX edition. It handles well, even in the rain. It is quiet and spacious. I would suggest adding floormats as the floor gets slippery when wet. The seats fold down, to the side or come out completely for this camping trips or trips to the furniture store! No more delivery fees!

Just bought my kiwi green Element( named Froggy).Had a CRV prior, as a lease.I wanted a manual transmission and the CRV no longer comes in manual so leased an Element instead. For the most part I really love this " toaster on wheels"..My sister, who lives in Cleveland has one and really likes it.I love its versatility and its fun to drive. If i had to change a few things it would be to have the sunroof up front and have more storage space... thats it.All in all I really love the car and would definitely lease or purchase one!
