The 2004 Honda Element lineup gets an LX model to slot between the existing DX and EX models. New equipment on EX models includes keyless entry, a passenger-seat armrest as standard, and bungee-cord fasteners on the driver-side front and rear seat backs.
- Impressively versatile interior, optional all-wheel drive, smooth four-cylinder engine, styled as if out of a Japanese animation movie.
- Only seats four, clamshell doors hinder entry/exit for rear-seat passengers.

Love this car - 2004 Honda Element
By Kenny - August 25 - 1:46 pmIve always looked at this car and wanted it when I saw it. So I test drove it and it was very roomy, very comfortable, and very good performance. Ive had this car for close to a year now and I have no problems at all with this car. Gas mileage is very good considering its size and four cylinder motor. Everyone I see I have them look inside it and they love it. They say its full of room and I even let my boss man drive it and he said it has a lot of guts. That was coming from a guy who loves chevy. Ive come to love Hondas. Theyre awesome cars that definitely put the driver in mind for the long haul. And for that I thank the people at Honda for making such a great car.

fun and functional - 2004 Honda Element
By larry west - August 19 - 10:00 amI purchased this car for my business. It has become my "drive everywhere" car. My friends love it. We take road trips and we all feel relaxed. Because of the massive leg room and because the back seats recline, the passsengers in the back seats are just as comfortable as the front seat passengers.

Ya Gotta Drive it - 2004 Honda Element
By beach boy - July 14 - 10:00 amI am a proud owner of the 2004 Element EX.I have been looking at this model for about 2 years since it came out. For my life style this is the "Best thing since sliced bread". For people on the go and who like the outdoors there quite possibly could not be a better fit. Some of my friends when I first got the truck said " do you wind it up before you drive it, or can we take it out of the box and drive." That was thier comments before they got in and drove it or simply just got in the back seat and enjoyed the sunroof and acres of leg room. If you are thinking of getting one ,do it. Two Women - 2004 Honda Element
By Luck - June 1 - 10:00 amCar fits us like a glove. My sister is 5 and therefore we added the running boards, and Im 58" and need room for my long legs. Plenty of cargo room for shopping and trips. I do miss the side hooks for hanging clothes when coming from the cleaners, but with lots of leg room, ecconomy, cargo room and many safety devises, good service from my dealer, I guess the hooks arent that important. Highly recommended.

(i.e.: higher than front seats, reduces motion sickness), and best is this: you can literally spray out the interior floor with a hose! Go ahead - spill that juice box - I DONT CARE!!!

By Eilleen - May 20 - 10:00 amI love my Honda Element. It may only seat four humans but it holds all six of my four legged kids. With the easy to clean interior it is the best vehicle with my dogs. With the way the doors work it is easy to load both cargo and dogs. I do wish it had better gas mileage but Im willing to give that up to have the cargo space.

Great CAR/Truck/SUV? - 2004 Honda Element
By Matt - April 19 - 6:00 pmJust bought my element. I love how high the seats are and the view from the windshield. Best car for the money, it reminds me of my old Jeep CJ-& just with better gas mileage, better reliability, and better heat although not nearly as rugged. I had to purchase a handful of bungee cords and a milk crate to secure my stuff, otherwise it slides everywhere. Road noise is no problem although I read some think it is. The 4 cylinder provides sufficient acceleration. The stereo is better than average for a factory system but isnt quite the caliber of my old Alpine w/ infinity speakers. So far its a great car. Cant wait to test the 4wd in snow.

Versitillity to the Max. - 2004 Honda Element
By sandbilly - April 19 - 10:00 amThe Honda Element is really a all wheel drive mini van with remarkable versitillty. The adjustibillty of the seating take it from sedan to mini van to camper. It is very user freindly and has respectible gas millage and very eco-minded. I found the bucket seats to be the best I have sat in. The Element seats do not trap you but let you move around. The ride is smooth and steady and the breaking feels awsome. The sound system w/sub woofer is very good. It is also easy to clean. I feel that going for the very young market is a mistake. The market is in the 35 to 55 who remain active around town and especially outdoors.
