Overview & Reviews
The 2004 Honda Element lineup gets an LX model to slot between the existing DX and EX models. New equipment on EX models includes keyless entry, a passenger-seat armrest as standard, and bungee-cord fasteners on the driver-side front and rear seat backs.
- Impressively versatile interior, optional all-wheel drive, smooth four-cylinder engine, styled as if out of a Japanese animation movie.
- Only seats four, clamshell doors hinder entry/exit for rear-seat passengers.

Dont Judge a Book by the Cover - 2004 Honda Element
By elementofluv - February 18 - 10:00 amI test drove the CRV and Element both, and found the Element to be years ahead in interior and exterior design both. The CR-V is great if you are want the Soccer Mom look (especially inside) but the Element is much more appealing to the single crowd. There is nothing you cant do with this versital SUV! Everything from Treadmills to BBQ Grills have been hauled in my new Element, with no hassle at all.

GREAT ALL AROUND VEHICLE - 2004 Honda Element
By MAGNA66 - February 11 - 10:00 amFUN TO DRIVE, IT FEELS LIKE A MINI- HUMMER. VERY QUIET ENGINE AND PLENTY OF GO POWER. A VERSATILE SUV WITH PLENTY OF STORAGE AND COFFEE CUP HOLDERS. GET IT DIRY...JUST HOSE THE INSIDE DOWN...WATERPROOF. USES REGULAR UNLEADED GAS.

The Element is the way to go - 2004 Honda Element
By colospgs58 - February 7 - 10:00 amWe use our Element for everything from transporting kids to college to a camper - and itdoes it all! It rides well, handles beautifully, can carry huge volumes of carge, and can be switched from passenger vehicle to cargo van or camper in a matter of seconds. After having the Element for a year, we dont even use our other SUV - we dont need it.

a real sports/utility vehicle - 2004 Honda Element
By kanicker - November 23 - 2:00 amThis is the most useful a vehicle can be without being a work TRUCK. My biggest concern was road noise and a bumpy ride, and Im glad to say that although its not Lexus quiet and smooth, its certainly quiet enough to make it our weekend and trip car.

Such A Deal!!!! - 2004 Honda Element
By Elementary - November 16 - 3:36 amI drove the Element/CRV/Rav4 before buying. The Element won out because of its overall roominess; the rear area is cavernous! I love the high ceiling and how the seats move out of the way for carrying large items. Rear Leg is room is great even for tall people. The 10,000 mile (between) oil change engine is great and incredibly quiet. The gas mileage is very good; 24mpg. The 4cyl is plenty powerful, and there is very little body lean in turns. My improvement suggestions would be to have the tilt-wheel rise up higher, have a better center console, and do something about the easily scratched interior plastic. I also didnt like the "dealer" items which should be standard; ie the roof rack.
