Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

  • Fun, fun, fun! - 2005 Honda Element

My last vehicle was a Honda minivan which was an excellent vehicle also. The Element is much more fun to drive and more kid friendly with its waterproof interior. As with all Honda products the quality of the engine and overall handling are wonderful. Would recommend this vehicle to any age driver!

Weve seen a few Elements out there but not many and thought they kinda looked weird but after test driving one, i fell in love with it. With a 5-speed it has more torque than an automatic, which i test drove there, and its a 4- cylinder. Youd be surprise how much power it has with the manual. After purchasing the E, i went through the forums and have seen pictures that people have added other features to it and its awesome. People who are thinking of it look at the Honda Element Forums and this will make your decision making. I JUST LOVE MY MINI HUMMER, especially with all the attention you get!

Have had my element, only 5 months and already put 7000 miles on it with no problems, very versitle. Honda should make keyless entry standard as well as passenger armrest. Also plastic does scratch very easy. Otherwise great little car.

  • I Love My Maroon Box - 2008 Honda Element

After driving a Toyota Tundra TRD for three years I found that I could not work our of the high bed. I need a covered vehicle that would hold some merchandise and double as a pleasure car. The rear seats can lay down or come out if necessary. I love my Element. It gets the sticker gas millage and a bit better. The car is comfortable and roomy. My daughter owns a Pacifica and claims the Element has way more leg room. My auto insurance cam way down due to the improved safety features of the Element.

  • Who didnt love the Ugly Duckling?" - 2007 Honda Element

Okay, when my Dad owned one in Silver I totally thought it looked like a toaster. He raved about it, so when the lease on my 2004 Grand Cherokee was up I thought what the heck (always been a Jeep girl) Test drove the Element and the CR-V and to be honest the CR-V was teeny inside, my husband is 65" and he has plenty of room, so do my two boys. I love the ease of a rubber floor with two kids and the special order stain proof fabric on my EX. But most of all Mommy loves cranking up the tunes on the killer stereo system. Super fun to drive & own. Better than any Jeep I have ever had, more fun to drive, better gas mileage and AWD if I ever need it!

I love my Honda Element but the blinds spots are annoying when backing up. I have had to replace the brakes on the rear after only 17,000 miles. Honda Corp. has not followed up on my complain either to resolve the issue. I have owned many vehicles and have never had to service calipers or replace brakes with so little miles. Very disappointed in Honda in how they handled the issue.

  • Hondas do anything SUV - 2003 Honda Element

Traded in my 2000 ML 320 for the Element and couldnt be happier. This truck is a blast to drive, and draws attention where ever I go. Its very spartan, but extremely well thought out. 26 mpg and $15 fill ups are a big plus. Honda has put it all together in this vehicle. Anyone considering the CRV should definitely take a look at the Element first.

I rarely like anything, but this car is the best purchase Ive made since my big screen TV. If you are looking for a vechicle that sits 4, can haul like a truck, and has honda-like mechanics, then buy this car; you wont regret it. I absoultely love my 2004 EX 2wd orange car w/ side airbags.
