Overview & Reviews
The 2004 Honda Element lineup gets an LX model to slot between the existing DX and EX models. New equipment on EX models includes keyless entry, a passenger-seat armrest as standard, and bungee-cord fasteners on the driver-side front and rear seat backs.
- Impressively versatile interior, optional all-wheel drive, smooth four-cylinder engine, styled as if out of a Japanese animation movie.
- Only seats four, clamshell doors hinder entry/exit for rear-seat passengers.

Have gear will travel - 2004 Honda Element
By heffe - December 24 - 11:26 pmI live in NH. and travel all over New England and down the coast. I play in a variety of musical acts and haul my drums and sometimes my bassists gear as well. The E just eats it up and has performed very well for me. My last car was a Chevy Tahoe, so I am coming from a big rig. Ups: Loads of room, and comfort. Good stereo, Jack for my XM. Downs: Braking could be better. Road noise (due to no carpet?) is a little high ( see nice stereo above) and wind noise and buffeting is high. In all, I get lots of comments..."cool!" "ugly!" "box" But have you seen the Rover Discovery? How about the Hummer? Now run the prices. nuff said. Come on hybrid.

Its a truck, its a suv, its GREAT - 2004 Honda Element
By Molly - December 23 - 10:03 pmI just got it! You either love it or hate it. I love it. It sucks gas! Thats the only thing negative I can say about it. They 21 mpg City, Dont think so. Its more like 18. Power is O.K. Drives nice, handles well and still fits in tight places. Its a cross between a truck, van, and a SUV. I heard it was designed for the younger generation, Im 40 and I think its awesome. Lots of room, easy to change the seats around. I use it for work and I dont have to worry about it getting banged up or stuff spilled in it. With its out side panels, waterproof seat covers & utility floors. If I could, I would have gotten the EX. Oh well, Next time.

BROOKLYN ELEMENT - 2004 Honda Element
By CLIFF ZEMAN - December 23 - 3:14 pmLIKE THE EASE OF GETTING IN AND OUT. LOADS OF LEG ROOM IN THE REAR. LOVE THE RADIO AND CD SYSTEM. ONLY PROBLEM SO FAR IS THAT IT SEEMS IM ALWAYS GASING THE GUY UP. SOME TIME TWICES A WEEK FOR DRIVING AROUND IN NEW YORK CITY. I USE THE CAR TO GET TO AND FROM FROM DIFFERENT WORK SITES. MAYBE A LARGER GAS TANK NEXT TIME.

AWESOME - 2004 Honda Element
By Sylvia - December 21 - 11:22 pmGutsy, gorgeous, and gas efficient! I loved my 2003 Honda Element so much that I bought a second one in 2004 so my husband could have one as well. It is roomy, family friendly, rugged and wicked cool looking to boot. I bought one in green and one in blue, the only colours that offered matching interior trim. I also love the new sky light in back that comes out you can put in its place a screen! I also love the options, I got the running boards, roof rack, interior rubber mats, front seat covers and stearing wheel cover. It is very stylish!

2004 Honda Element - 2004 Honda Element
By jb - December 20 - 9:15 pmFinding myself in the market for a vehicle that could comfortably seat four adult males and their gear for week long mountain bike trips, get good gas miliage and cost under $20,000-this was the winner. My other car is a Subaru Forester, which is a great car for my lifestle, but fitting American sized adults in the back seat is a joke. The Hondas exterior looks are still growing on me. It was this reason that caused me to put it at the bottom of my shopping list (behind the Toyota Matrix and others). One test drive quickly showed me that the Element, although shaped like a box on wheels, drove more like an Accord. It was clear that this was going to be a great escape car for me.

Love my Element - 2004 Honda Element
By daves element - December 15 - 10:00 amJust what I wanted. A small SUV like tote that I can get a lot of stuff in if need be. And it even fits my golf clubs in the back if they are laid caddy corner. And when I wanted to buy 4 packaged of 4 cubic ft each of peat moss I just flipped up a seat and it all fit. Rides like a larger vehicle but easy to park. Also looked at RAV 4 but it is not as flexible in being able to tote things (back seats just flip down) and it rode rougher.

Honda Element - 2004 Honda Element
By C. Hart - November 19 - 2:00 amI am a tried and true Honda driver. I had and accord, 2 CRVs, and my Element. You cant beat a Honda. I believe they are the most reliable car on the road. The Element is a great vehicle - Fun to drive and very durable. Tons of room. My fifteen year old son is 6 foot 2 inches tall and still has room to stretch his legs in the back seat and more than enough head room. He also enjoys the sunroof over the back seat. For a small active family this is the vehicle to have. The drive and comfort level outways the CRV.
