Overview & Reviews
Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.
A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

I love it! - 2004 Honda Element
By pruvallejo - March 24 - 2:00 amDrove the Element from the SF Bay Area over the Sierras to Reno and back last weekend. It did better than I expected in the mountains, climbing at speed without problems. I chose the car mostly for its cargo- carrying capability, and have been very happy with it for that reason. I would NOT choose black again, though the Honda black is nice, with dark blue metallic flakes in the paint. Its just too hard to keep clean. Yesterday I say one with the darker silver/gray color...should have chosen that, I think. Live and learn!

Ugliest Car in the World? - 2004 Honda Element
By Hunter - February 21 - 3:46 amI thought it was until we went to Italy and I saw some of the Fiat vans over there. We love our Element. We put 200k miles on a 1987 Real Time Wagon and thats why we bought Honda again. Were still driving the wagon to keep the local round-town miles off the Element. Element has entirely adequate power, tons of interior room if somewhat excessive headroom. Handles OK, rear seating is comfortable, but visibilty is limited from back there. Whats with the sunroof in the back where you NEVER use it? Should have made seating for 3 in the back. Theres room.
