Overview & Reviews
The 2004 Honda Element lineup gets an LX model to slot between the existing DX and EX models. New equipment on EX models includes keyless entry, a passenger-seat armrest as standard, and bungee-cord fasteners on the driver-side front and rear seat backs.
- Impressively versatile interior, optional all-wheel drive, smooth four-cylinder engine, styled as if out of a Japanese animation movie.
- Only seats four, clamshell doors hinder entry/exit for rear-seat passengers.

MY MINI HUMMER - 2004 Honda Element
By KANSASCOTTIE - March 14 - 10:40 pmI love my Element. Its unusual body style is unique and I dont see 3 on every block. The ride is smooth and it is not too noisy on the highway. I love the scratchproof fenders, the rubber floormats and the stain proof seats. The motor does not lag at all when I use the AC I also love the way the back doors open. It is so easy to load and unload with them. The CD player has a killer sound. The truck also is just the right height to enter. You dont have to have a running board to get into it.

I love my Element! - 2004 Honda Element
By Max Box Owner - February 19 - 10:00 amI love my Element! It has plenty of people and cargo room and its easy to get in and out of. It handles great and is extremely easy to manuver, and you cant imagine how easy it is to clean! Just this summer, I hauled home two collapsible tables (one 4 and one 6), 4 folding chairs, a 56qt. cooler on wheels, a 24pk cube of pop, several bags of groceries, and STILL had room to spare!!

What a fun ride! - 2004 Honda Element
By tieshask8 - February 19 - 10:00 amI was looking for an inexpensive SUV that got good gas milage. I also wanted something that could carry a lot of extras (luggage, snowboard, my german shepard. I tested the Element and completely fell in love. It had all the features I was looking for and has a lot of pep on the road. I am 55 and my husband is a foot taller than me. It was the only thing that we tested that both of us were comforatble in. The unexpected fun of it all is all the attention I have been getting since I bought this car ...people talk to me everwhere ... parking lots, gas station.. and ask to see inside and how I like it.

Great Car/Suv/Van - 2004 Honda Element
By rsr72 - February 14 - 10:00 amHard to put it in any category. Modern-day VW bus. Very roomy. Ride is very smooth. Most comfortable ride of any SUV-type vehicle I have ever ridden in. Good overall build quality. Powerful engine. Love it or hate it looks make it fun! Not your everday "cookie-cutter" design. Way to go Honda!

Honda Element -- user friendly in spades - 2004 Honda Element
By LMNTLE - January 13 - 10:00 amMy wife bought a 2 wheel DX in 03, I just picked up my AWD DX 3/31/04 and I have already bonded with it. Owning an Element is like having a reliable friend. I know it sounds corny, but it is true. I use it mostly with my road bike and plan to use it for camping at music festivals. All things considered, I just cant imagine a better all-around vehicle.

sportscar performance/pickup truck fun - 2004 Honda Element
By Philzapp - December 28 - 11:56 amI first experienced the element 1 year ago and loved it. The small turning radius, and low end torque make it a very good city vehicle, while the sixteen inch wheels and ground clearance make it work on rough unpaved roads. I did change out the tires right away though to michelin 225 mud and snow. This gives a much better "feel" to turning and driving on wet and non paved surfaces. The stereo is also outstanding, as I am a music fan and listen constantly at home and the road. The limited oustside vision is overcome by paying attention to mirrors, and the sometimes choppy ride, is worth the maneuverability of the short wheelbase. I was able to eliminate a car&truck, while gaining an ins.disc.
