Overview & Reviews
The 2004 Honda Element lineup gets an LX model to slot between the existing DX and EX models. New equipment on EX models includes keyless entry, a passenger-seat armrest as standard, and bungee-cord fasteners on the driver-side front and rear seat backs.
- Impressively versatile interior, optional all-wheel drive, smooth four-cylinder engine, styled as if out of a Japanese animation movie.
- Only seats four, clamshell doors hinder entry/exit for rear-seat passengers.

Fun little truck - 2004 Honda Element
By rainEdriver - October 6 - 2:21 amIm a cheap-skate. I wanted a small, thrifty truck, but it seems nobody makes em anymore...so I went with Hondas Element. This thing is a hoot to drive. Im no racer, so maybe I dont expect too much but I find this little box hustles. Id have been happy with less given ever-rising gas prices, I want even more than the about 29 mpg its averaged over the first 15,000 miles. I leave my back seats in the garage, and treat it as a 2-seater. No, you cant hose it out, but otherwise it is extremely durable and versatile for light hauling, camping or grocery-getting.

Love my E - 2004 Honda Element
By Donna Anderson - September 15 - 10:00 amSafe, fun, sporty, practical. Completly functional, but not a mini van. Ultimate vehicle for people with an active, or in my case, bicycling lifestyle.

The Element needs restructoring - 2004 Honda Element
By ROHONDA ARMONY - September 14 - 2:00 amstylish, but in the end i have found lousy brake system, poor gas mileage and the suspension system does not take bumps well. Tires on it are not responsive to the poor Pennysylvania roads. would not buy this car again or recommend it to be bought. Lousy performance for the money.

So glad I got my Element - 2004 Honda Element
By MED401 - September 8 - 10:00 amI did a lot of homework and finally got my Element in April and it was worth every single test drive, review read and Consumer Report fax. This is one of the most comfortable and fun to drive vehicles I have owned. I am in the car a lot as I do home health and cover a 30-50 mile radius-and working out of this vehicle is a pleasure. Thank you to all the other Element owners who posted their thoughts-they helped me quite a bit in making my decision.

We Love It - 2004 Honda Element
By Element Owner - August 8 - 2:00 amWe have a toddler and two large dogs. Thanks to our dogs and kid this car really gets dirty quick but thankfully it cleans up quick. A damp sponge works great on the interior. WE did have one problem with it this past summer when a full pump sensor failed and the car lost power and the engine light came on (the vehicle had to be towed)but that appears to be a fluke incident. The car has been running great since then. The car has nice pickup on the highway when passing other vehicles. A wonderful car at a reasonable price! We love it.

Military Buyers Beware! - 2004 Honda Element
By Jess311 - August 8 - 2:00 amThis is a great SUV/Truck/Car, however, if you are in the military, and receive orders to go overseas, Honda does NOT work with you so that you can take your vehicle with you. Its too bad they cant work with the men and women who serve this country. Next time, I am buying a Ford!
