Overview & Reviews
Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.
A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

Rocks!!!!! - 2005 Honda Element
By DownUnder - April 26 - 5:52 pmI have had this vehicle for 5 years and it has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. 125,000+ miles and the only think I ever have to do is oil changes, tire rotation, and 1 set of new tires and brakes. VERY, VERY reliable and goes great in snow.

Adore it - 2005 Honda Element
By pgray - April 20 - 6:41 pmThis is my favorite vehicle of all time. Ive driven Mercedes and Volvos, but nothing is as fun as this vehicle. The cargo capacity is great and it is good for hauling dogs, landscape materials, and antiques. Also, it gets good mileage. I adore it!

Delivery vehicle - 2005 Honda Element
By John Hurley - April 19 - 4:26 pmA solid, reliable, economical option for a delivery vehicle. Just enough style to prevent embarrasment. Great cargo capacity combined with low cost of purchase and operation.

My Element - 2004 Honda Element
By crjlll - April 10 - 2:00 amI love Hondas. I have a 1992 Honda Prelude that I wanted to take of the street and custommize. That is why I bought my element. It reminds me of a G Class Mercedes without the house price tag. Plus I actuqlly get to carry people around and also lots of cargo space. The best of both worlds. The onlye improvement would be to make more room for us guuys over 62". Overall, I love it.

Very satisfied owner - 2004 Honda Element
By davidt - April 10 - 2:00 amI use mine as a high mileage "bail- bond" runner with my advertising on all four sides. Its a design icon so it gets a LOT of notice. Incredibly versatile, tremendous value, good gas mileage, reasonably comfortable. If I get too tired to drive, I jump in the back and sleep a couple of hours and then Im back to it. Ive enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Stadium seating is cool.

Love It - 2004 Honda Element
By MonteroFan - April 5 - 10:00 amThis is a great little SUV for any purpose. It has the versatility of a minivan and the off-road ability and of an SUV all in a package that doesnt look like youre going to use it to take little Jimmy to soccer practice. The audio system on the EX is amazing, I plug my iPod into the MP3 auxilliary jack and its never sounded better. The Element isnt just for teenagers - if youre looking at SUVs, Minivans, or Pickups, be sure to give the Element a test drive. If in the LA area go to the Keyes Woodland Hills internet department, they got us an amazing deal and didnt mess around (another dealer tried to foist a stick shift on us halfway in the deal).

Takes the Fun out of Functional - 2003 Honda Element
By green_ghost - April 2 - 6:39 pmI love my E for all the features and practicality. Its easy to maintain, easy to clean, and easy to own all around. It runs great with 70,000 miles, and maintenance has been minimal. I really love the waterproof seats and rubber floors. I get sand, mud and water in the car all the time from all the outdoor sports that I do. Its super easy to clean the car and not worry about the mess. I also love the versatility of seating, and cargo space. Its so easy to throw anything I want in the car. The E is Uber functional, just not very fun to drive. Its not fast, not sporty, doesnt handle well at high speed or in corners, but it gets me where I need to go and is reasonably comfortable.

Expectations Fulfilled - 2006 Honda Element
By Larry - April 1 - 12:47 pmAfter 3 years and over 70,000 miles I remain delighted. It has met all of my expectations and more. Other than a windshield replacement due to its vertical orientation and replacement of the original tires at 70,000 miles, I have only changed the oil/filter and had the major service done. Consistently get 24-25 MPG find it to be comfortable but a somewhat bumpy ride on longer trips and love the functionality for hauling gear and bulky items. Great value for the price and low cost of operation.

2006 Element EX-P - 2006 Honda Element
By Daren - March 30 - 1:13 amAfter shopping around for a reliable SUV I set my sights on the new Element EX-P Model. I liked the vehicle before, but the composite sides kept me away. The new model not only looks fantastic but drives fantastic. As far as gas mileage it gets the listed 26 hwy and 22 city with the automatic. Handles great and cuts through the air at high speeds on the highway. I havent noticed too much swaying from the wind. Seems like they should offer a more powerful engine in the EX models, perhaps a modified V6 Accord engine.
