Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

  • Element not only for active singles! - 2003 Honda Element

I am a married mother with two young children. This vehicle is a dream come true. Seats are waterproof/stainproof, no carpeting, fantastic headroom, easy access to the rear seats to situate the kiddies, low sales price......so, much more! I am so happy with my purchase. I have many vehicles in my life, but the Hondas are the ones I keep for years and years! This vehicle will be no exception!

WoW!!! WoW!!! I was excited from the time the decision was made to purchase my Orange Element and I am still EXCITED! This vehicle handles well in the city and on the open road. It is comfortable and FUUNNNN to drive. The gas mileage and features were as advertised per stated specifications. The sound system is marvelous!!! And the body style is very very eye catching. Plenty of leg space and the seating is very spacious for a wide body!!

  • Totally Love It~ - 2003 Honda Element

Though I only have 100 miles on this car, I totally love my new Element. Roomy, quite, confort and unique. Engine is good on torque and smooth; barely can feel the difference between 2WD and 4WD. The interior material is sophisticated and well-built.

Love the headroom. Most cars just do not have the headroom I need. I could wear a top hat in this thing. The feeling of massive room inside is amazing. Straight side windows add to the spacious feeling.

  • Disappointed But Satisfied - 2005 Honda Element

The Element has fallen short in a few areas. The "AWD" is far from AWD. When I bought the Element, it was called REALTIME 4 WHEEL DRIVE. In essence FWD assisted by the rear wheels when the computer senses slippage. Granted, I have never been stuck. My next disappointment is the "A" post. The "A" posts cause serious blind spots when making 90 degree turns. Next, I go on to the tires. The 215/70/R16 is a unique tire size, which makes it expensive and hard to find in anything other than an all season radial. Lastly, the front end construction. DONT get in a fender bender, itll be expensive. There is literally no bumper to stop the radiator from being damaged in a minor collision.

  • Awsome for such a great price! - 2003 Honda Element

Great mileage, great turn - not wide, comfort and quietness of any moderate to high income car. Cute, very noticeable. Just a great deal overall.

  • Greatest Vehicle we ever owned - 2003 Honda Element

We have been driving our Element for almost one year now and like all the Hondas I have owned, we have never had a problem. Great comfort for long distance traveling, good handling and general performance. Plenty of room for tall people.

  • Great Vehicle - 2003 Honda Element

The Honda Element is the most practical vehicle I have ever owned, plus it is a gas to drive. I have a band and all of the sound equipment fits in this vehicle. For person that is used to driving Chevy pick ups it sure is nice to get more than 13 miles to the gallon, I average 23 to 25 on the higway and this is 4 wheel drive. Great traction in the rain, and I will find out real soon about in the snow. :) Engine has enough power to get you through town and on the highway, if towing I would suggest a six cyl.

  • Love this car - 2004 Honda Element

Ive always looked at this car and wanted it when I saw it. So I test drove it and it was very roomy, very comfortable, and very good performance. Ive had this car for close to a year now and I have no problems at all with this car. Gas mileage is very good considering its size and four cylinder motor. Everyone I see I have them look inside it and they love it. They say its full of room and I even let my boss man drive it and he said it has a lot of guts. That was coming from a guy who loves chevy. Ive come to love Hondas. Theyre awesome cars that definitely put the driver in mind for the long haul. And for that I thank the people at Honda for making such a great car.
