Overview & Reviews
Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.
A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

Revolutionary Vehicle - 2003 Honda Element
By William Ruffin - December 12 - 10:00 amThe perfect answer to owning a mini-van without acutally having to! The same features and comfort that you would expect from a mini-van plus the added bonus of being a truck makes the Honda Element a truly revolutionary vehicle. This car is the benchmark for things to come.

Another Happy Owner - 2003 Honda Element
By larrym43 - December 6 - 10:00 amI just bought one on Friday, and I like it better than I thought I would. It handles very well in both city and highway driving. Acceleration on the highway was surprisingly good, and the compact body and tight turning radius are great while navigating in the city. The engine/transmission is smooth and quiet. I hope the AWD will come in handy during the winter. This is the first car Ive ever bought, and I think I got a winner!

a real sports/utility vehicle - 2004 Honda Element
By kanicker - November 23 - 2:00 amThis is the most useful a vehicle can be without being a work TRUCK. My biggest concern was road noise and a bumpy ride, and Im glad to say that although its not Lexus quiet and smooth, its certainly quiet enough to make it our weekend and trip car.

The real thing!!!! - 2006 Honda Element
By JOHN - November 20 - 12:00 pmThis might be not so good looking of a auto but remember the only skin deep thought! It is so nice to drive this auto . Really we owned a jeep wrangler before this and this is 100% better then the jeep . The element is nice hidden auto that i cant believe it isnt as popular because it is a really good deal !!!!! Example we paid 25000 for a jeep sport and check what a sport comes with ! The element much less in price $21,000 that is $4000 less and we got alot more all round !Element is a really nice and functional auto 100% to honda !!!

Such A Deal!!!! - 2004 Honda Element
By Elementary - November 16 - 3:36 amI drove the Element/CRV/Rav4 before buying. The Element won out because of its overall roominess; the rear area is cavernous! I love the high ceiling and how the seats move out of the way for carrying large items. Rear Leg is room is great even for tall people. The 10,000 mile (between) oil change engine is great and incredibly quiet. The gas mileage is very good; 24mpg. The 4cyl is plenty powerful, and there is very little body lean in turns. My improvement suggestions would be to have the tilt-wheel rise up higher, have a better center console, and do something about the easily scratched interior plastic. I also didnt like the "dealer" items which should be standard; ie the roof rack.

Love my Element - 2005 Honda Element
By Terry Mull - November 15 - 1:10 amGreat, affordable and useful vehicle. I needed a versatile car that could haul my hang glider and still cart my family around during the week and me to work. This car does it all.
