Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

  • My "E" - best value for my money - 2005 Honda Element

I drove my "E" out of the Hudson Honda parking lot on June 23, 2005. I love this BIG Car in a little body! Even my 64" - 18 year old son loves my "E". It is sooooo roomy inside. Who wouldve known. It is so economical on Gas! Big plus with gas prices as high as they are. I absolutely appreciate all of the storage places found inside at hands reach from the driver! The exterior design is just absolutely awesome...I feel like Im going away to my own little safari every morning when I drive my "E" to work. I feel very safe inside my "E". With Hondas reputation for quality and reliability, purchasing my "E" was a win-win option for me.

  • Everything I Ever Wanted in a Vehicle - 2003 Honda Element

All other things considered the vehicle is otherwise awesome. I love how peoples heads turn. Ive just never had such an experience before. Other than that I live in MN and I cant wait for summer. All the camping and mini road trips are going to be better than ever with this thing. I think I may even leave the tent at home this year. And my dreams of owning small things to pull like a small boat, a pop up camper, and a canoe can all come true now. I already spilled pop on the fron passenger seat and it beaded right off there like a champ. The thing is so incredible I know i am going to drive it till its dead, which shouldnt be for a very long time.

Driving is beleiving. This is my first Honda and I am very impressed with the build quality of the interior. Everything is well thought out and I havent heard a single rattle, jiggle, or squeek. The enginge is a little buzzy, but performs its task pretty well. The car is surprisingly nimble and very easy to manuver. The placement of the shifter, although seemingly strange, is brilliant, and seems natural after the first shift. In short, the thing drives like butter.

This multi purpose vehicle is another winner from Honda. This is my 4th Honda ive had the pleasure in driving, and as always Honda comes through. For a four cylander vehicle it has suprisingly good power, combine that with the real time drive, and its 24MPG...Well to say the least this car will please many different people.

  • The most practical vehicle - 2004 Honda Element

My favorite vehicle so far! Researched vehicles on line for about 2 weeks (edmunds.com comparator is a great place to start). I started out looking for a pickup (for scuba diving, paintball, boating etc); the Element kept popping up..so I wound up taking one for a test drive and was nothing but impressed by this well designed "cool box". The Element is a great UTE (utility vehicle). Fun to drive, tons of room, very easy to clean, good gas mileage. The lack of center pillars and the way the doors open are a plus too. Im very happy with my Honda Element and Id buy one again, no buyers remorse with this one!

Great, innovative, SUV. Excellent leg room for back seat passengers. Smooth, efficient engine. Traded a Grand Cherokee in for my Element and have no regrets. Quite the contrary.

I have one of the first "Es" off the line.(It was love at first sight). Its a very relaxing, comfortable and reliable car to drive and for the price and the features you cant go wrong! I talked two friends into an "E" and they are always thanking me for it!

  • Best for Money and So Practical - 2004 Honda Element

Although it seems to have been designed for males in their late teens, Im a middle aged female teacher who feels I look a little funny driving it, but given my lifestyle, the Element is by far the best car for me. I took the seats out in the back because I haul all kinds of stuff. I drive thousands of miles each month, often with my large dog, so again the Element is the best car for this. I dont think Ill ever get a car with carpet again--who needs it? I also like the big space in the back; Ive even slept in it a few times (though you need lots of padding for it to be comfortable). Ive only had the car for eight months, but I also bought it because of Hondas reliability.
