Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

I love my Honda Element, I have had several Hondas but this one has been the best. Its fun to drive and has so much hauling room, it makes going to the hardware store a piece of cake, not to mention how nice it is to fold up the seats and use it for a kennel when going to the Vet. I like that you dont have to worry about staining the carpet when you spill something. This vehicle is a must have at a great price!

I you are an active person, live life out of your vehicle, this is the one for you. I used to own a pickup truck to carry my gear (bike, climbing, camping, scuba equipment). It worked fine; but with the Element, packing and unpacking is done is a third of the time it took for my pickup. It is amazing how much space this little SUV has. With all of the safety features, the easy (and I mean really easy) clean-up floors and seats, it is perfect for the active lifestyle.

The Element is awesome. It is the perfect vehicle if you have a baby or if you are into outdoor activities. I dont worry about the inside getting trashed because the polyurethane floorboard wipes out in minutes. It is so easy to get a baby in a carseat because the backseats are located further behind the front seats than normal. It drives like a sportscar and is great in the snow and muck. I dare you to find a better utility vehicle for the money.

I test drove the Honda Element today and I was impressed. I know it is not the best the thing to look at, but when you drive this vehicle, looks are not important. If you want to look like everyone else, then purchase a pretty car. If you want to be your own person and get a nice dependable vehicle, the Honda Element is the way to go.

I bought the Element because of its versatile interior and waterproof qualities. It drives well for its height, not too much body roll. Wind is not as bad on the highway as you might think. It cruises easily at 75- 80, though the engine revs higher at this speed then some other cars Ive driven. I have had 28mpg highway, and average above 20mpg for mixed driving. The plastic panels are easy and relatively cheap to replace if they get scratched or damaged.

  • You cant beat this vehicle - 2003 Honda Element

Purchased the car about a week ago and already drove it half way across the country. It is by far the most functional vehicle I have ever been in. Great interior space. Great headroom, legroom and the washable seats made the long voyage with a dog a joy. It also handles wonderfully. I may look a little boxy, but it handles almost as well as my Civic and far, far better than the Explorer I traded.
