Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

I just got my Element and I love it. It is the best Suv I have ever had. It has a great sound system, comfrotable seats, passengers have plenty of room. It is charming in a funny way.. Its so ugly its cute.. I debated buying it for about 7 months and couldnt resist the urge. Im glad I did, I couldnt be any happier. I love the fact that not too many people have them. Man! are they missing out... It is a joke in my family to call it the Dork mobile.. whatever to that. It is the best, and I love it,

This is my very first car and I am loving this Element. The gas mileage is wonderful and I love the interior design. The easy wipe floor is the best because if I had carpet I would have a big red stain on it because I spilled a strawberry soda. This little truck was a blast when I to Panama City for Spring Break. I only had to fill up this truck three times. One time I just did for the cheap gas price, but the other two times was before I left to go and before I left to come back home.

Ive put more miles on this car in a shorter amount of time than any other vehicle Ive ever owned. It fun to drive and camp in. The interior is genius and the gas mileage is great. It has the SUV looks without the SUV budget busting gas drain. Bieng that it was a first year vehicle, I leased this auto. As soon as this lease is up, Im buying a another new one.

The versatility of this "cruck" has been fabulous. Easy to convert it to haul large items and even the family dogs. Comfortable to travel in and use as a camp accessory. Easy to clean inside and out.

We love our Element. The versatile interior is the BEST. While the gas mileage has not been quite what expected, it does not disappoint on long trips. Id like a little more power, but thats just me. My tires are wearing a little quicker than average but I drive fairly aggressively. Overall, this thing gets 9 out of 10 from me and my fam.

Love this vehicle...however the one thing that does scare me is the back doors that do not open unless the front ones are opened. Love the "feel" that this car gives when driving. I may suggest that the lack of carpeted mats may be a drawback for people that are not sports orientated or wish to "hose" out the car!! Felt that the carpet mats should have been included and not as a charge of $300 something.

  • Fun to Drive - 2004 Honda Element

Had the car for six months. Love to drive it. Taken it on 2000 mi trip. Averaged 25 mpg. A little noisy @75+ mph but it handled great. A little difficult for adults to climb into the the back seat. Seats are tough on comfort on the longer drives. Visibility is great, tight turning radius is a plus. If you have kids, the rear door can be a hassle since you have to open the front door everytime to let them out. Since its on the small side, it turns and parks anywhere. It has just enough power, most of the time theres just two of us in the car and how fast can you go on LA/Orange Co. freeway? The price and financing were right, Id buy one again!

suprising legroom and comfortability. Actually has much more storage area than I thought at first glance. Pick-up can be iffy but holds its own in traffic w/good handling.
