Overview & Reviews
Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.
A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

A Honda At Last, met expectations? - 2005 Honda Element
By Another LT Cust? - August 31 - 11:53 amWay back in 75, I wanted to purchase a Honda Civic , for its fuel economy, features, and efficiency... well 30 years later, after research, etc, I purchased a Honda Element. It exceeded my expectations in these areas. IT IS WHAT IT IS: (1)The power of acceleration exceeded my expectations. (2)Great functionallity- minimal wheel overhang, (3) complements my Jeep Wranger as a "luxury version", (4)I know what great "Finish" is. I have had several cars that had great "fit", but now great "finish". (5) Great room, (6) seat support like a my BMW- Fun to drive and capmp with- you better believe it!!!

My Element EX - 2003 Honda Element
By Element Fan - August 23 - 2:00 amI probably got the 1st Element in Pittsburgh, an EX. I was patiently waiting for it since 2 mths whne I 1st heard about it. I like it a lot except for 2 things, 1. Pickup 2. Keyless Entry - When did Honda make this optional on their EX models. Its a real pain unlocking & locking the vehicle from the driver side!!!

Element - 2005 Honda Element
By yolonda - August 21 - 9:36 amDoes everything the manufacter says it does and then some. A truly versatile vehicle, performs well in all types of driving conditions. Gives a smooth ride for a suv, and has a solid pick-up from the 2.4l 4 cilinder engine. The four speed automatic is smooth in it shifting and does not drop in to lower gears when pressed.

Honda Element greatest vehicle made! - 2005 Honda Element
By Christne - August 18 - 2:26 pmBesides being the cutest vehicle on the road, it is the most versatile! I am constantly hauling stuff from one place to the other and this vehicle can handle almost everything. The seats are a snap to fold up against the side and the floor is equipped with bungee tiedowns. The back seats are stadium seats, so the rear passengers can see over the front seats. The doors on either side open up opposite each other making a huge opening so you dont have to put items inside in an awkward position. The turning radius of this vehicle is also great. I can flip a u- turn in the tightest spots. For such a small compact vehicle, it sure has a lot of room and really easy to drive.

Awesome !! - 2003 Honda Element
By Keiths - August 18 - 10:00 amI wnet to the dealer to purchase an accord, while checking they were checking their inventory for the one I wanted I decided to look at the Element. The salesperson came back and we decided we wanted to drive the Element, after driving it we were hooked, it was so versitile, and since we were replacing a truck, it was the best of both worlds.

Definitely Surprising! - 2003 Honda Element
By gfrodo - August 18 - 2:00 amLooked at CR/V and others but found Element quieter, bigger inside, and just a real blast to drive. It handles extremely well in traffic and is wonderful on the highway. There is some road noise on bad road surfaces, but just turn up the fantastic radio! This is a great commuter car or round town errand-runner. The four cylinder engine is plenty powerful. We took several trips and this car is very safe and predictable to drive. I have a whole new confidence level in traffic.

my element - 2005 Honda Element
By Jodie Welk - August 17 - 6:40 pmI LOVE this little SUV. My last car was a BMW325is purchased new also, so I like fast zippy good cars. The element didnt let me down...not as fast...but equally fun to drive. I wish they had a little better beefier interior seating or leather seating, but I was in the in the furniture industry, so I am overly picky about that area. The fabric and materials used on the seating are excellent for repelling most stains or liquids. The stereo is WONDERFUL and the ipod connection is PLUS! The XM radio is a nice feature too. Because there is no carpet, a only rubber matting feature which I love, I think that the element is probably a little noisier than usual on the highway. So turn up the tunes!

Great Car for under $20K - 2003 Honda Element
By laizer - August 6 - 10:00 amI have the EX AWD 5 speed model. This is a very fun, high "utility" SUV. It accomplishes everything I need. It has plenty of room for cargo, gives me AWD when the bad weather comes, has kid friendly floors and seats, and is very affordable. This unique car fits my needs better than any other car on the road. The automatic is under-whelming, however the 5 speed makes a world of difference. This car is not as plush as my girlfriends Lexus RX300, but then again the price is 1/2 that of the Lexus and these 2 cars are not really comparable to each other, but you really cannot find another car even close to the price range that will do what the Element does.
