Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

  • Honda Element.... Gotta love it! - 2003 Honda Element

If you want a great, reliable, spacious, and stylish vehicle, then youll certainly appreciate the Honda Element. I bought mine for my birthday last month, and I love it. Besides benefiting from Hondas reputation of building reliable vehicles, I have lots of storage room and the vehicle gets "oohs and ahhs" every time I drive it. Please dont buy one, because I enjoy receiving the exclusive praise and treatment when strangers see it for the first time.

The Element shined on a recent surf trip to Mexico. The gas milage and utility features made the trip a pleasure for me. I didnt have to worry about my bros spilling beer on the seats or getting sand all over the inside!

  • The Element is Excellent - 2003 Honda Element

Its a Honda, its cool, and it turns heads. I cant tell you how many people have asked me how I like my Element. Highway ride is nice - and there is no "drum" sound that many of the critics talk about. I am 67" tall, and I have plenty of head and leg room. MP3 jack and excellent stereo system enhance the sweet ride of the Element! If you are looking for a versatile SUV - this is the one.

  • I Love My Ugly Car!!! - 2003 Honda Element

I had a 300M with 160,000 miles on it (I bought it new) and wanted something more practical and fun. We have a Honda Odyssey, and I wanted something with room that I didnt have to worry about messing up the carpets in. I love this car. Its so ugly it crosses back over into cool!!! I can put golf clubs, trash, yard waste, ect. in it, no problem! The doors make it very easy to get people in and out, and the fold-up seats are make the rear a cargo-holding monster!!

  • Suits to a TEE - 2004 Honda Element

Just want to say that I have never owned a vehicle that I really would like to hang onto forever. I have had other Honda vehicles, but this is my forte. It is very easy to get into and out of, even my handicapped husband can get into the back seat without any problems (I have the running boards). The seats in the back are comfortable and have lots of leg room. I have a car seat for a child, and am glad for the LATCH system. I can do all of my shopping and my friends shopping without worrying that we dont have enough room. It handles great on the road and is very easy to park, especially in tight spots. I am excited.

This is the best vehicle i have owned. I researched suvs in my price range and what i wanted in a vehicle. i read all the rave reviews on the Element, so i had to go check it out. i took it out on a test drive in the worst weather possible. snowstorm i wouldnt want to venture out in and it was a dream machine. Handled great, so much fun to drive, couldnt have asked for more and to make it even better are the awesome features from the seats in so many positions, easy cleanup, great radio, and just plain fun to drive. the mp3 hookup is great too. I am so happy and couldnt ask for more in a car, except larger gas tank.

  • In My Element - 2004 Honda Element

I race in Triathlons. Nothing is more important than making sure my bike is in correct order before placing it in the bike rack early on race morning. Unfortunately, this is usually in the dark. So, being able to set my bike up the day before in my garage, roll it into the Element without having to remove any parts, go to a race and out to eat without having to worry about the bike being out in the weather, and taking the bike out for the race knowing it is just like I left it the night before...Its just wonderful.
