The 2004 Honda Element lineup gets an LX model to slot between the existing DX and EX models. New equipment on EX models includes keyless entry, a passenger-seat armrest as standard, and bungee-cord fasteners on the driver-side front and rear seat backs.
- Impressively versatile interior, optional all-wheel drive, smooth four-cylinder engine, styled as if out of a Japanese animation movie.
- Only seats four, clamshell doors hinder entry/exit for rear-seat passengers.

By merry - September 11 - 10:00 amThis new vehicle is easy to drive, easy to maintain (even near the coast), and fairly economical. It is not meant to be a Soccors Moms car, but it serves as a good alterantive to a pickup.

Excellent little motor - 2004 Honda Element
By English_Knave - August 27 - 1:23 pmI have had my E since new, it has never had a single thing go wrong with it. Its a bit noisy and gets a little breathless on the highway, but the mileage is good and the handling is excellent. Incredibly versatile, I have had bicycles, lawnmowers, snowblowers and even a mid-size motorcycle in it. If you want a fun to drive, utilitarian , pickup type vehicle with a good standard of creature comforts this is the vehicle you want. I am still on the original tires . Dont buy the multi player CD player...buy an Ipod instead. I am currently looking to replace it with another E.

Responsive engine to claim your rights against &@#$# taxi drivers, compact body so it fits anywhere side parked, rugged interior so for me (and other 11 million people) without a driveway where to hose the car, cleaning is fast and easy. Interior, very elegant and functional, spacious out of description, almost a magic trick.

Like driving a go-cart - 2004 Honda Element
By cleanqueen - July 26 - 1:59 pmThis car is so fun to drive! I got a manual transmission which makes it even more fun to drive! I find that with the stick, it has more pep than an automatic transmission. Since the car has no carpet, its great for hauling my dog who sheds around in it. It has a tremendous amount of knee room in the back even for tall people. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone who wants an affordable SUV style car that has a lot of room in it without paying big bucks!

Great Vehicle - 2004 Honda Element

We were impressed with its ability to be like a truck, you can load and haul pretty much anything in it. Clean up is very easy. Just wipe it clean and youre done. Easy to wash and wax too. Not much to do because the durable plastic exterior part is so easy to wipe down.

A compromise is now the vehicle I look forward to driving daily.We drove to NYC 3 weeks ago in every bad waether condition imaginable and the ELEMENT conveyed us four in comfort AND STYLE ! This car was designed for Generation X....but everyone I see driving it is an old fart like me !The back seats come completely out to leave a cavernous amount of space and the mileage per is much better than my Wrangler. As far as Im concerned , Honda has a big hit on its hands with the ELEMENT ! And such a deal I got : Leased it on line and our salesman delivered to our HOUSE ,ON A SATURDAY !

I Love My Element - 2004 Honda Element
By Wesley Taylor - May 22 - 2:00 amI have been extremely pleased with my Element. So far I have only about 2000 miles on it but I am extremely pleased. It is fun to drive and handles well for this type of vehicle. Of course, the Honda quality speaks for itself and so far I believe that the Element will live up to the Honda reputation. It gets one of two responses from those who see it. Either they think it is really cute and love it or they think it is totally ugly and dont like it. It definitely isnt for everyone but I kind of like that. I am interested in pleasing myself, not pleasing the trend. If this vehicle continues to please as it does now I would say that it is a home run!

By ASongirl - May 22 - 2:00 amThe Element is versatile and roomy, rear seats remove or fold to sides...great storage, especially overhead compartment, controls easy to read and automatic shift in comfortable position. The rear seating is roomy, although the back only seats four. The car is reliable and runs well with excellent steering and breaking. The fuel economy is good. I average 24-26 MPG. The Element handles well in ice and snow and has a killer stereo. I love the MP3 jack for my ipod. The side doors opened easily to load equipment.

By Element Driver - April 3 - 2:00 amWhen you live in an area that has all types of weather conditions, you need a vehicle that can get you where you want to go.The interior is roomy...go shopping or biking, haul your furniture to the upholsterers,the ceiling clearance allows you to pack in more stuff than you would imagine. Not only does it get you there it does it with funky style. I love this vehicle!
