Overview & Reviews
Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.
A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

Perfect for all my needs - 2003 Honda Element
By sa829 - March 5 - 2:00 amI call it my maxi-Cooper- mini-Hummer! I am a middle-aged old hippie who is a scenic artist and a fly-fisherman. This vehicle does it all for me! I previously owned a Volvo station wagon and a Ford Econoline van----this is like putting them both together, and adding 4WD, and a great stereo system.Plus I love the way it looks. Other SUVs look like muscular sneakers- this looks cool. I have never seen an interior that was better designed. So much room-----and headroom to spare!! Its wonderful to own a vehicle that some real thought has gone into. Form follows function beautifully in the Element. And its just plain flat-out fun!!!

do all vehicle - 2005 Honda Element
By ron - March 2 - 1:13 amThe Element does it all extremely well. The exterior is rather quirky, but the look grows on you.Interior layout is exceptional; seat recline for camping or fold up on the side walls to haul large items. An overall great vehicle!

Love My Element - 2004 Honda Element
By jbird - March 1 - 2:00 amMy Honda Element is only one month old, but I have bought enough new cars to know better than to base an opinion on emotions or new car smell. This vehicle is something special. It has achieved an awesome balance between vehicle types.

I love my Element! - 2004 Honda Element
By Max Box Owner - February 19 - 10:00 amI love my Element! It has plenty of people and cargo room and its easy to get in and out of. It handles great and is extremely easy to manuver, and you cant imagine how easy it is to clean! Just this summer, I hauled home two collapsible tables (one 4 and one 6), 4 folding chairs, a 56qt. cooler on wheels, a 24pk cube of pop, several bags of groceries, and STILL had room to spare!!

What a fun ride! - 2004 Honda Element
By tieshask8 - February 19 - 10:00 amI was looking for an inexpensive SUV that got good gas milage. I also wanted something that could carry a lot of extras (luggage, snowboard, my german shepard. I tested the Element and completely fell in love. It had all the features I was looking for and has a lot of pep on the road. I am 55 and my husband is a foot taller than me. It was the only thing that we tested that both of us were comforatble in. The unexpected fun of it all is all the attention I have been getting since I bought this car ...people talk to me everwhere ... parking lots, gas station.. and ask to see inside and how I like it.

Great Car/Suv/Van - 2004 Honda Element
By rsr72 - February 14 - 10:00 amHard to put it in any category. Modern-day VW bus. Very roomy. Ride is very smooth. Most comfortable ride of any SUV-type vehicle I have ever ridden in. Good overall build quality. Powerful engine. Love it or hate it looks make it fun! Not your everday "cookie-cutter" design. Way to go Honda!

Honda Element - 2003 Honda Element
By Cheryl Couture - February 5 - 10:00 amI am a 40 year old with 2 teenage age boys. My husband loves my new car so much I barely get to drive it on the weekends when hes not working! Its great for bikes, groceries, the dog, camping, hauling MX gear to the laudromat. We love it! The seats in the back flip up and down easily. The interior can handle sand from the beach and dirt form the MX track. The sunroof is great too. We have the side steps, the rear spoiler, rack on top and fog lights. The extras really make the difference.
