Model Overview:

Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.

A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

I am very happy with this nimble machine. At 3375 pounds, it tows great behind our motorhome. Its fast (165 horses) and handles well. The crud proof seats are great for out labadore. I removed the emblems with dental floss and people keep guessing at what it is. we own the black and are very happy with the color. Stero is excellent as is the performance..

Dealer claims there is not much mark up in price. Dealer will offer more for trade to off-set price. Also adding fog lights, side steps, and tent package after haggling.

The element was my first honda purchase. reasons for buying: 1)price, 2)looks, 3) useful interior features, 4)convenient size, 5)hondas reputation for reliability. I drove it from california to nebraska fully loaded without any problems. and the 4 wheel drive option should helpful when driving in the snow. Im so pleased with the Element that I also bought one for my wife.

I bought my Element as soon as it was introduced last Summer, and have never regretted it. Resently another motorist pulled out in front of me and total my car. The Element took it like a tank. The enginered unibody frame and engine did just what it was suppost to do. I walked away with barely a scratch. My next car will once again be an Element. Its the most versatile SUV out there. Ive camped in it, taken it to the beach and painted watercolors from the tailgate, hulled 2x4s, plywood, furniture, a clothes dryer and taken my 2 dogs hiking. Its been a great car.

  • Needed More Room! - 2006 Honda Element
    By -

I just bought this Element a few days ago after owning my Honda Civic Hybrid since 2003. Big difference in gas mileage, but with a 4 month old daughter we needed a lot more room! We stuck with a Honda because we love the quality and we loved the price of the Element. Its cute, its practical and it gets the job done. I love the fact that when my daughters old enough to drink and eat, I dont have to worry about stained seats and carpet.

  • GREAT RIDE! - 2003 Honda Element

Ive had my car for about 10000 miles now and couldnt be more pleased. In just 6 months of ownership Ive had nothing but smiles. Got to get siding home - the element will do it. Need to go on a camping trip with a group of friends and gear - the elements perfect. Now, the weather has turned to snow and ice - the Element doesnt blink. In fact, this is the best driving 4WD Ive ever owned. I love this car.
