Overview & Reviews
Sold from 2003-'11, the Honda Element compact crossover SUV remains one of the most distinctive and practical vehicles on the road. Happy Element owners are often city dwellers who appreciate both its small size and generous 75-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity. Another notable element about the Element is the ability of its access-style rear doors to pivot backward a full 90 degrees, providing unimpeded access to the roomy and creatively configurable rear seats.
A used Element of any vintage is easy to recommend thanks to its functional interior, smooth four-cylinder engine and carlike handling, not to mention Honda's reputation for reliability. That said, it's worthwhile to focus your search on 2007 and newer models, as they offer a bit more power and enhanced safety features.

Call Her Paprika - 2004 Honda Element
By Fran Honan - January 1 - 10:30 amThis is a fun car to drive. I have named her "Paprika" because of the bright orange color. I have had many men asked me to show them the inside of this fun car. I am a vibrant grandmother that enjoys having her third Honda. I love the door opening like a London Taxi! Nice pickup and a great price for a run-about-car. By the way, my other car is a Mercedes E-320 that my husband doesnt take in the snow, but borrows mine when the weather turns bad. I have a love affair with Hondas. I also like the part that the inside of the Element is washable and has plenty of room for my surfboard, wet suit

By joel reiss - December 31 - 11:08 amAll I can say is you must take one for a test drive. You will be suprised by the room and how easy you can get around on the road. We went from a Taurus to the Element and my wife said she will never go back.

My 2nd Honda - 2004 Honda Element
By Honda Believer - December 28 - 10:46 pmAfter researching the Element for several months, I decided that it was the car for me. It is so fun to drive. I have owned it 4 months and had no problems. Many features can be added (suggest the fog lights and rear spoiler). Fuel economy is so-so. Hate that it only seats four, but I dont car pool often. Had no problems and the Honda dealership was awesome! Please consider this for your next vehicle. The Element is the best bang for your buck!

Function is (Great) Form - 2004 Honda Element
By VT2ME - December 27 - 12:58 amThis really is the Swiss Army knife of automobiles. As a product designer I appreciate every detail of the Element. Some reviews have outlandish suggested improvements....6cyl, Hybrid, luxury options, etc. Take a marketing class and youll appreciate what the Element has and more importantly why it does (or doesnt for that matter) have it. Honda has hit a home run with this vehicle but not everyone knows how to spot a diamond in the rough. When I spoke of purchasing an Element some people I know said "Its hideous" and yet when they actually ride in it they immediately acknowledge its roomy, and versatile interior as well as its good power and comfortable ride. This ones a keeper.

Its A Honda and thats all that counts - 2004 Honda Element
By msugost1 - December 26 - 10:00 amAfter 19 years of and over 800,000 miles on my Accords, Im now looking forward to the same with my Element. So far I dont have any if the wind noise that some have talked about and the ride is excellent. Plenty of power and a kick butt stereo system. As usual Honda builds another winner.

You have to drive it to appreciate it. - 2004 Honda Element
By Michael Rose - December 25 - 9:41 pmI am a 58 year Commercial Real Estate Broker. If you are looking for a car that is fun to drive, utilitarian and is out of the main stream, this car is for you. It handles really well for it has a real substantial feel. There are people who think that it is ugly but thats there problem. The bottom line is this is one funky ride.

Have gear will travel - 2004 Honda Element
By heffe - December 24 - 11:26 pmI live in NH. and travel all over New England and down the coast. I play in a variety of musical acts and haul my drums and sometimes my bassists gear as well. The E just eats it up and has performed very well for me. My last car was a Chevy Tahoe, so I am coming from a big rig. Ups: Loads of room, and comfort. Good stereo, Jack for my XM. Downs: Braking could be better. Road noise (due to no carpet?) is a little high ( see nice stereo above) and wind noise and buffeting is high. In all, I get lots of comments..."cool!" "ugly!" "box" But have you seen the Rover Discovery? How about the Hummer? Now run the prices. nuff said. Come on hybrid.
