Overview & Reviews
In typical Honda fashion, the Civic receives a number of minor changes this year in order to keep it fresh. For the coupe and sedan, there's new exterior styling, including restyling for the front and rear bumpers, hood, headlights and grille. Inside, the audio speakers have been upgraded, extra sound deadening material has been added and floor mats are now standard in the LX and EX. The LX trim has slightly bigger wheels this year (15 inches) and standard keyless entry. A new value package contains air conditioning, a CD player and a new center console. For the Si hatchback, there are new headlight and taillight designs, larger 16-inch wheels and flashier interior trim. Like the regular sedan, the Civic Hybrid has updated styling, standard floor mats and improved speakers. It also has a new interior console with an armrest, adjustable rear headrests and a manual driver-seat height adjuster. Finally, all 2004 Honda Civic sedans and coupes have a new seatbelt reminder system.
- Fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly engines, roomy interior, reputation for durability and quality, impressive crash test scores.
- Top-of-the-line models are pricey, antilock brakes not available on DX or LX.

Give it 2 thumbs up - 2004 Honda Civic
By Attitude - August 18 - 10:00 amWhen i first bought the car, i thought, "I could have gotten me something a little bigger (since im 59"). But the more i drive it, the more I realize that it is just enough room for me and the comfort of the seat. O MY GOD!!!perfect 10!! the gas millage can not be any better. (providing that the gas is high right now. It is also a very sterdy, dependable little car. I would recommend it to anyone.

Should have kept the Mazda - 2004 Honda Civic
By 2004honda - August 12 - 11:31 amBefore buying my 04 Honda ex I owned a 2002 Mazda Protege. The Mazda was much funner to drive, faster, sporty and gas mileage wasnt that different. This Honda is gutless I cant believe how slow it is. I hate the automatic downshift while breaking down hills. There are so many rattles in this car I dont know where to start. Road noise is really loud, same with the engine sounds like its working to hard. I think this is a good commuter car but not much past that. It looks pretty good but the build quality is not up to par for what a Honda should be. I would rate value to cost at a 5-6 with 10 being greatest value.

Wheres the MPG??? - 2004 Honda Civic
By New 2004 Owner - August 12 - 10:00 amI love my Si. Beat the Mini by a long shot, but I am NOT getting 26/30 MPG. Other than that, I love my car. I look forward to driving it all the time. It rocks. I have the blue - and I have received compliments all the time on how cool it looks. It was a great buy.

What a sweet Deal Go Honda! - 2004 Honda Civic
By shua - August 12 - 10:00 amThis is a sweet ride! It has some good horse- power to it, and is great for a first Coupe buyer. The steering it very responsive, the sun roof is great for the sunny days, and the stereo kicks when you need it to. Honda has a fantastic reputation and this is a golden example of that. The 2004 Civic Coupe EX is a great car. Go check it our for yourself!

Great 1st car! - 2004 Honda Civic
By Cre8ive133 - August 6 - 10:00 amAfter thorough research on Consumer Reports and other car rating websites, I found the Honda Civic to meet my needs while cutting fuel costs and keeping the cost of my car under $20,000. With my job, I put on heavy mileage. I am very glad I bought the Civic EX. The manual shift may have been more fun to drive, but since I commute through so much traffic each day, it wasnt worth getting. Riding this car each day is fun, reliable and efficient. Id get it all over again if I were given the choice. Great first or commuter car!

Above average small compact - 2004 Honda Civic
By alljoy214 - July 25 - 1:56 pmBuying vehicles can be tough. Honda has been one of the leading dealerships that have economical cars that are reliable and fun to drive. The 2004 Honda Civic LX is very fun to drive. At the same time, bland as a banana. Overall, one of the best in the small compact division.

Great First Car - 2004 Honda Civic
By WSUguy - July 14 - 9:28 amWe bought my civic a year used from friends who were moving on to a Prius. It was a great first car, everything just worked. I never had a problem outside of a flat tire. I only filled it up once or twice a month, and with its 12 gallon tank that was really amazing. It has a really fun ride and did a great job getting me through high school. My sister is now driving it, and there still is yet to be a mechanical issue!
