Overview & Reviews
In typical Honda fashion, the Civic receives a number of minor changes this year in order to keep it fresh. For the coupe and sedan, there's new exterior styling, including restyling for the front and rear bumpers, hood, headlights and grille. Inside, the audio speakers have been upgraded, extra sound deadening material has been added and floor mats are now standard in the LX and EX. The LX trim has slightly bigger wheels this year (15 inches) and standard keyless entry. A new value package contains air conditioning, a CD player and a new center console. For the Si hatchback, there are new headlight and taillight designs, larger 16-inch wheels and flashier interior trim. Like the regular sedan, the Civic Hybrid has updated styling, standard floor mats and improved speakers. It also has a new interior console with an armrest, adjustable rear headrests and a manual driver-seat height adjuster. Finally, all 2004 Honda Civic sedans and coupes have a new seatbelt reminder system.
- Fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly engines, roomy interior, reputation for durability and quality, impressive crash test scores.
- Top-of-the-line models are pricey, antilock brakes not available on DX or LX.

Fun Car. Two Thumbs Up!!!! - 2004 Honda Civic
By Shinzon2004 - January 15 - 2:00 amThis car is awesome!!! I needed an economical, sporty, and fuel efficient car that would get me from Point A to Point B. I bought the White(as the Value Pkg comes in only Red,White or Blue)It handles great and the 5-speed manual tranny shifts quite smoothly. It is also very comfortable. If you are looking for affordable, quality transportation that looks and handles great this is the car for you!!

New owner & loving it. - 2004 Honda Civic
By Betty Jean - January 15 - 2:00 amI previously owned a 2001 Toyota Camry and found it was too much car for me and it did not have the pep and performance my former Honda Accord did. Gas consumption was 23 mi/gal around town and my new Civic is supposed to get 31 mpg. This is a big difference with the price of gas going up. I find that the visibility is much better than the Toyota with fewer blind spots that were very scarey in the other. No complaints on the Civic EX.

Stay with quality you know! - 2004 Honda Civic
By jpc477 - January 12 - 10:51 pmI just bought an 04 Civic EX. I had owned other Hondas but for a period of time owned an 03 Mazda Protege then an 05 Hyundai Santa Fe. The Civic I have now runs & drives flawlessly and is solid when it comes to handling. I dont worry like I did with the other cars when I see gas go up. The moral of the story is if youve been a Honda owner especially for a while and are thinking of something else, stick with what you know. You just cant go wrong with these vehicles.

I love my Honda! - 2004 Honda Civic
By Maria - December 14 - 4:10 amI rave about this car so often that two co-workers have purchased Honda Civics also. It is one of the best cars I have ever owned. And it is simply one of the best cars on the market. It looks beautiful. Runs wonderfully. Has a good stereo. Comfortable seats. Great visibility. The materials are top notch and the fit and finish is exceptional. Reliability has been perfect. I would buy another one without hesitation.

Efficiency in motion - 2004 Honda Civic
By Scottfox - November 29 - 10:00 amMy new Civic gets surprisingly great fuel economy. I am leasing the LX W/5 spd & am getting 37MPG combined. I went with a lease because the Hondas have high residuals which means lower monthly payments. Also considered the Corolla, but lower residual meant higher monthly payments. Restyled this year, it looks great & the interior doesnt have that cheap plastic interior feel.

Value - 2004 Honda Civic
By seal6 - November 29 - 10:00 amGreat value for the money. Bought this car for my college bound daughter and I enjoy driving it more than her. Fun to drive, great handleing, great gas mileage. Test drove a Chevy Cavalier and was not impressed even with $5500 off price. Being 64" the honda has room to spare not so with the cavalier.
