  • So far not very impressed - 2010 Honda Civic
    By -

This is my first Honda, and frankly, I was expecting more. The ride is very noisy, and the suspension system on the car is disappointing. Im not sure if I just got a new car with lousy shocks and struts, but you feel every imperfection in the road. I would like others feedback on this. So far the fuel economy on the car is ok, but nothing to rave about. I have only owned the car for a few days, but already miss my trade in. In short, based on Hondas reputation I thought i was getting better.

  • Excellent Car - 2010 Honda Civic

I traded in my truck for This car and what a deal they gave me. I asked for the TMV and the dealership didnt argue! They gave me what I asked for. I got the LX model $16,200 w/ automatic, wheel locks, mud guards, and the trunk trey. I wish it had an USB to hook an ipod to it but other than that what a deal. The gas mileage is good for around town but the highway is where you will really see the difference. Its comfortable but it could be more. The quality is great and it is a solid car. Its a Honda.

  • So far so good - 2010 Honda Civic

Very smooth ride, handles great, tight turning on curves. I really enjoy it so far. This is my third Honda Civic. The interior and exterior finish isnt as nice as my 1995 Civic LX but there are many nice improvements. This is the first Civic I bought with auto transmission and there does seem to be the slightest hesitation when accelerating from a stop or accelerating from idle speed. Havent had an issue with noise on the highway, but it might be because Im just used to it. Overall, excellent car for the money paid. And with dealer cash reducing the price down to $16,400, gotta love the cost!!

  • Noisy, squeaky - 2010 Honda Civic
    By -

I owned a 1980 Civic that was one of the best cars Ive ever had. My new Civic is a disappointment. After only 1000 miles, I have rattles and squeaks in two places in the dash and the drivers side window. The road noise is fatiguing on long trips. I dont think Honda is making them like they used to. I dont even feel honest selling this car to someone so Ill keep it a couple years then trade it in for a Kia Forte, the car I should have bought instead.

  • Good car, but very bland - 2010 Honda Civic
    By -

I got the coupe, and Im not overly impressed. It handles really well, and the gas mileage is excellent. But for the price, the interior is very boring except from the digital speedometer. The interior looks as if it could have came from a 90s car. Not very modern. Interior also feels cheap, no seat height adjustment. But the car is reliable and handles really well. Its pretty peppy. The ride is not very smooth though, and the engine could be quieter. Id recommend the Hyundai Elantra (2007 or newer) or the new Mazda 3 over this.

  • Disappointed - 2010 Honda Civic

Im somewhat disappointed with my Civic. I feel all of the bumps in the road, the steering is way too sensitive, my knee constantly hits the emergency brake lever and the acceleration is weak. I dont like the rear window defogger as it doesnt clear all the way up to the top, I assume because the antenna is there. The paint and windshield seem to chip very easy, Ive had a couple already. I dont like the way the inside door jams retain so much dirt and water after a rain or snow. When you open up the doors the inside jams are filthy. I dont like the head rest on the drivers seat, it pushes up whenever a push back on the seat. Brakes are good, gas mileage lower than I hoped for.

  • Excellent, but could be better - 2010 Honda Civic

OK, Im going to be a bit tough on this car even though Im pretty happy with it. On the plus side: EXCELLENT leather seats~~!!!! Good power and nice auto trans. Good but not great gas mileage. On the negative side: The rear speakers are just hanging "bare" with no rear covers. This is really unacceptable. Cheesy badging all around the car. Cheesy interior badging with a big chrome H on the steering wheel. The interior looks like it was designed for "kids". Lack of a power drivers seat. Lack of a instantaneous and avg fuel usage. Could use a slightly heavier steering. These are all minor nits against a pretty good car. I drove a Prius and that was a real joke compared to this Honda.

  • Okay Car - 2010 Honda Civic

Traded my V6 VW Passat GLX for this Honda. The reason I was looking for something more reliable and fuel friendly. As expected performance was much different than what I am used to. Felt light but handling was okay. after 2 weeks of driving it gives me about 29 m/g which is really nice. I went for EX-L full option trim which I kind regret since it came to 24K and the car still does not feel luxurious. For that price I think I could got better but too late and it was my fault.

  • Best all around low priced car - 2010 Honda Civic

So, love the car... except the interior, interior for this model just feels cheap all around from the visually unappealing "cock pit" dash to basic button layout for controls, and cloth on doors. Girlfriend just got 2010 mazda 3, its interior blows civics away, from tech to looks. Super fun to drive, even just around town, but really is not that fast which is good and keeps me out of trouble. Fuel is what u expect, but uses premium, if u care that much get a different car. Bang for your buck, cant beat it though, good looking, fun to drive, reliable, car has everything for a reasonable price... except interior, well I like the seats, they are comfy, I am also not a big guy though.

  • VIBRATIONS??? - 2010 Honda Civic
    By -

I recently purchased this LX-S and when I test drove it, I experienced a mild vibration from the car at about 50 MPH. I asked the sales rep about it and he explained that flat spot on the tires may be to blame. This sounded logical and in his explanation I agreed with him that this could possibly work out with the tired being inflated and brought up to operation temp. However, now 1500 miles later, I still have a vibration at 50-60 MPH. This is most severe first thing in the A.M. when the vehicle is cold. I have the vehicle in the shop today for the issue today for the second time. I am being told now that there is a service bulletin for this.
