  • Horrible Engine Vibration - 2016 Honda CR-V
    By -

The engine in this 2016 CRV vibrates considerably while stopped in drive and foot on the brake. The front seats vibrate to a point that causes my legs to go numb. The doors and center console vibrates, as well as the dash which is creating a noise from the dash/steering column area. The dealership says this is normal, but I wonder what component/s this vibration will cause to come loose later on--electrical connections, fuel line connections, a/c connections, etc. (not to mention my legs)? I bought this CRV because of a presumed reputation, but am left gravely disappointed. I will never buy or recommend Honda vehicles.

  • Gasoline fumes in the passenger cabin - 2016 Honda CR-V
    By -

I leased my 2016 CRV in August of 2016. By November 2016, my husband and I began to smell gasoline fumes that would overwhelm the passanger cabin while the car was idling. Honda has admitted that it is a known problem with the 2016 CRV models. PLEASE do some research before leasing or buying. My car has now been at the dealership for FOUR WEEKS without a fix. I am paying for a car that I cannot safely drive. Prolonged exposure to gasoline fumes can lead to a variety of medical issues. With a one year old son, I refuse to allow him to be exposed to the fumes. I hope no one else has to experience the stress that buying a 2016 CRV has caused on my family.

previous Honda crv owner. 2 different styles. 2016 model felt cramped. the new technology in the model was distracting, not helpful. couldnt wait to get off the highway and end this test drive. Bought a Dodge Journey crossroads 2016. Love it!

  • Not worth the money - 2016 Honda CR-V

The vehicle rides a little too noisy. It lacks power. But is very annoying because the ac sends a stale odor into the cabin after sitting for a few hours. Honda has not been able to fix and tells me to turn the ac off. Thats not acceptable. This is our 5th Honda. No major issues before. They all have lacked power and had several squeaks. It usually took me a few months to fix the squeaks... then ok.

Stay away from the 2016 Honda CR-V.... Vibrations issues that Honda has yet to solve. We have a brand new one with 4400 miles and took the suv in for service on the vibration issue and all they said was this was normal.

  • Serious vibration issue - 2016 Honda CR-V
    By -

Disappointed in the 2016 CR-V. It has a serious vibration issue. It appears that the vehicle was not designed to minimize the impact of the vibration of the engine and the entire car is constantly vibrating regardless of the condition of the road. In stop and go city driving it is less noticeable, but it becomes immediately apparent when maintaining speed at 45 mph and gets much worse at highway speeds - 65 to 70 mph. I did not see this issue mentioned in any online reviews and it was not noticeable in the test drive. I have subsequently discovered that there are many other CR-V owners with the same complaint and a class action suit has been filed against Honda. Honda acknowledges that the problem exists in some 2015 CR-Vs and claim they have developed a fix. They supposedly resolved the issue for the 2016 model, but that is not the case. Dealership has tried to fix it, but to no avail. It appears it is unlikely there will be a fix. In order to get increased fuel efficiency, they have sacrificed comfort for drivers. If you do any long range highway driving, I recommend that you do not buy this vehicle. I know many other loyal Honda owners and they have always been satisfied and impressed with the quality of the vehicles. Sadly, that is not the case with the 2016 CR-V. I will be getting rid of this car after owning it for less than 1 month.

  • Never Again - 2016 Honda CR-V

Good vehicle if you live in city. Not good if you live in country in Wi., Mn., Mi. etc. The so called AWD system blows. I live in county. Driveway has hill. If driveway has ice front wheels barely enough to get up hill as they were spinning. Appears back wheels never kicked in. During winter there were times going into town or home and hoping didnt end up in ditch. No confidence in this vehicle. There are no indicators to notify the driver that the vehicle is in AWD. Driver has no idea when the vehicle is in AWD if it ever is. Do I really have AWD ? There are 1-2 sentences devoted to AWD in the owners manual. An AWD light will come on if the AWD system overheats. Bet this was done purposely(no indicator) do avoid law suit when someone gets in accident when the driver thinks AWD should have been in place when it wasnt. If you tilt the front seat back to any degree, which you will need to do if youre taller than 510", you cannot fold the back seat down as it hits the back of the front seat. Have 10,000 miles on mine and looking to trade in. Good gas mileage. Average 30-35 on highway. 29.3 overall since owning.

  • 2016 CRV AWD Limited with slipping CVT transmissio - 2016 Honda CR-V
    By -

When hot, the CVT transmission slips all the time. Whenever you press firmly down on the accelerator the engine RPMs increase but the vehicle speed doesnt. When trying to pass a car on a 2 lane road this vehicle becomes extremely dangerous and even life threatening due to the slipping transmission. The dealer says its normal, but it is not normal at all. Also, the highway miles per gallon barely reaches 19 MPG due to the slipping transmision.
