The car is not made efficiently! I have 7,000 miles on the car today. I took the car back to the dealer for noise and vibration. I was told that they replaced the rear Heat shield and that the car was quiet. The car still vibrates at 1200 or less RPM. When I accelerate the noise of vibration is consistent until reaching above 1200 RPM and it runs with plenty of get up but then when descending down a slope the car vibrates and the noise is loud. I have yet to feel comfortable in the car after adjusting the driver seat up and down tilted forward or backward. It simply is not comfortable. There is road noise as well in the cab of the car! Its like driving with the windows open which is not advisable since I live in central Pennsylvania and the temperature is 32 or less. I am totally disheartened by the purchase of this vehicle. I am frustrated every time I have to drive this car. I am totally disappointed and feel cheated in pursuing a new car that I could retire with and not have these concerns and issues. I would not recommend to anyone the purchase of this car and this is my second Honda. Bob Henry

The Voice recognition and Navigation 0n 2116 Honda CRV is TERRIBLE. Its hard to use and wont work the rest of the time. Even the service department and sales department cant figure it out . Service Dept. told me to have Sales Dept figure it out, Sales Dept told me to have Service fix it. This is the only Honda I have ever bought that I have regretted buying.

We have never had to repair any Honda we have ever owned. Brakes and tires are the only replacement parts we have ever needed. Thats why we buy Hondas. The CR-V is surprisingly big inside but is still a practical size for Southern California traffic and parking. The CVT transmission is very smooth and so far we are surprised how normal it feels around town. Time will tell on reliability but we have always had faith in Honda engineering. We bought the Special Edition that Honda usually offers and the end of a design run because of the standard content. We normally purchase the EX model but have never liked or used the sun roof feature that is a large part of the cost of the EX package. The SE model has reasonable content without the gimmicks that are so common today. The reasonable size was also an issue. We were afraid that Honda like so many other companies would make the next design bigger. Horrible traffic and tiny parking places are a fact of life in Southern California. We expect number 6 to be as reliable as all the others.

I am a fan Honda products...have owned several and you cant beat their reliability. I was deciding between an Acura MDX and the Honda CRV Touring and absolutely loved the 2016 CRV...better value and all the features I was looking for. Have only had for a month and have no complaints.

This is a nice car in every way but one: the CVT. If you never push the gas pedal down more than halfway, youll probably love it. In that "easy driving" mode, the CVT is well behaved and unobtrusive. But god help you if you ever expect more. The CVT is always in the wrong gear ratio: too high off the line and way too low when trying to accelerate at higher speeds. Its fiddly, constantly seeking up and down the rev range in response to the slightest movement of the throttle. I can be cruising down the road at 40 mph, push the pedal to the floor, count to three and return the pedal to its normal position; the cars speed wont change a single mph. Instead, the CVT winds the engine up to the redline without generating any forward momentum at all and then winds itself back down when the throttle is released. Its just pathetically unpredictable and irritatingly unresponsive when you need it most. Ive had this car for 12 months and love its many features, but that transmission is absolute garbage.

There are 2 usable cup holders in the front. There could be more closed storage compartments, as well. But the most serious problems are the vast array of technology controls. These GUIs did not try to use the natural extension of past interfaces which would have made them more intuitive. There is an awful lot of stuff arrayed all over the dash which is a distraction. The icons on many of the controls are too small to quickly scan. The voice commands must be precise and because they are not natural language confusing. The manuals are incomplete and poorly illustrated and indexed. The vehicle handles well and is comfortable.

  • 1000 miles so far, excellent... - 2016 Honda CR-V

I was wary of the vibration issue for the 2015 so I waited for the 2016 to come out and some indication from Honda that a fix was applied. I can tell you that my car is not vibrating excessively, either at idle or driving, at least its not noticeable to bother me or my passengers. MPG is good, I can get 32 on the highways, 26-28 otherwise. Car handles great, accelerates sufficiently, and just feels good to drive. I came from a 10 year old Accord and I can tell you the resale values on Hondas cant be beat. I dont expect reliability issues, knock on wood! Headroom is good, storage is more than enough for my needs, and I feel safer with AWD. Stereo sounds good with the upgraded subwoofer, climate controls work as expected. Rearview and blindside cameras are very well integrated, I miss them sorely when Im driving a vehicle without them now. Leather seats are comfortable and feel good even with long distance driving. Few nitpicks, sunroof feels small compared to some of the competitors. Also, the navigation system really needs an update, I cant believe they charge 1500 for it, doesnt read out street names and cross streets are sometimes labeled, sometimes not. The touchscreen interface is confusing and takes some time to learn. Road noise is a bit loud at 60-70 mph, but Im used to a sedan. Hope this helps some prospective buyers!

  • LOVE my Grainger Honda! - 2016 Honda CR-V

Vibration issues non-existent with 2016 refresh. Rolled over into new lease on a 16 CR-V SE, after previously leasing a 13 CR-V LX. Love the refresh! The SE added 17" alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, and security system. Also like the center console-mounted a/c ducts for the rear passenger area. Color is mountain air metallic, with beige cloth seats, pillars, and head-liner contrasting a black interior. Went to dealership (Grainger Honda in Savannah, GA) searching for white diamond pearl, but was not readily available. Sales rep showed me the mountain air metallic and as soon as I saw the interior, I was in love! Went for a test drive and CVT shifting was smooth and effortless. Under normal driving, the CVT is barely noticeable. Just press the gas and youre off! The car has very decent acceleration and will get up to freeway speed quickly. While cruising at around 55-60, if you put the pedal to the metal, the engine will rev up to about 5,000 rpm before the rest of the car "catches up" and, if youre not paying attention, youll be doing over 90 in under 10 seconds! Gas mileage is excellent, very close to what I was getting with the old CR-V. Highway mileage with the CVT is a tad lower, but city mileage has improved greatly!
