  • Fantastic Car!!! - 1995 Geo Prizm

This car is great in every respect. Good power around town, decent passing power on the highway - runs out of steam around 90 or 95 mph, but its only a 1.8 liter. Love the standard transmission, and it still averages 33 mpg. Interior is like new, as is the paint. 147,000 miles and its only been in the shop twice (wheel bearing assembly and clutch slave cylinder). Upgraded tires (Yoko Avid T4) give more sporty handling with a really smooth, quiet ride. Much smoother than my Explorer. There is no better car out there for the money. Period. Do yourself and buy this re-badged Corolla. Great first or commuter car. Rock solid reliable w/good performance and great MPG.

  • None Finer - 1995 Geo Prizm

Purchased in 97 with 17K miles, drove it 4 years, then daughter #1 drove it 4 years, and now Im buying it back from her with 220,000 miles on it. Repairs: one alternator and one starter (both recently). Problems: cassette died at 125K, chronic problem with low brake pedal. Have done regular maintenance myself. The red paint is faded, but the car is rust-free and still solid. Performance is quite good, although my 02 Neon is quieter and handles better. Prizms dont really wear out--people just get tired of driving the same car year after year. This one will get a new paint job and be passed on to daughter #3.

95 Prizm, 5 speed. Purchased New, only repair has been the starter. No other problems at all. good gas milage and real comfortble and fun to drive. Last week was T-boned at an intersection, by large full size car, doing about 50 mph. was not hurt at all, of course due to its age and speed of impact, car is totaled. looking for another one, but they are hard to find in my area.

  • My 2nd Prizm - 1995 Geo Prizm

I bought this car with only 14k on it about a year ago, now it has 25k on it with no major problems. No rust, 1 tiny dent in the bumper, paint looks new like it did in 1995. I just had to replace the battery which wasnt the factory battery that the good one was taken, and a rim was bent but pot holes do that! I love the comfortable seats I travel 500 miles each way to school 2x a year so comfort is a must. The car normally gets 32-37 miles to the gallon! Had a 91 Prizm that started having problems around 70k hope it doesnt happen to this one!

After owning my GEO for 5 years, I now have 143,000 miles on it and am just replacing the starter motor now - thats the only major thing except for replacing the brakes at 130,000 miles! I hope that my next car will be as great as this one. Im sorry to hear they are discontinuing it!

  • Gooooo Geo! - 1995 Geo Prizm

I make fun of myself for owning the un- prestigous Geo. However, this car has been worth every penny I paid for it four years ago. I highly recommend this vehicle if you are looking for an economical and reliable vehicle. If youre looking for luxury. . . keep looking.

  • An Awesome Car - 1995 Geo Prizm
    By -

My Geo Prizm has been in my family for seven years now, and it has been a great car. All it has needed was new brakes (expected!), and that was at 115,000 miles, when most cars need them around 30,000. Other than that, it hasnt been to a mechanic once. Its an awesome car. It has a ton of miles on it (167,000) but still runs great. My advice? Buy one!

  • Great Commuters Car - 1995 Geo Prizm

I bought my 1995 Geo Prism LSi with 65,000 miles. It was perfectly maintained -- not a scratch. It has everything thing I need except power windows. I bought this car strictly as a transportation vehicle. You see, I drive about 400 miles per week and for me it doesnt make sense to buy an expensive vehicle and throw all of the cars value out the tail pipe. I paid $4400 for the Geo. The Prism serves my needs fine. I get about 35mpg. Except the stereo, I have no complaints. Ill probably upgrade the head unit and speakers soon.

  • Best buy in small cars - 1995 Geo Prizm

I bought my 1995 Prism with 20K miles on it, now it has 100K miles. This is the most reliable car Ive ever had. Believe it or not it still has the original brakes. The only thing I had brake was the altenator. What is Chevrolet thinking when then stop making this wonderful car after 2002.

We have owned ou PRizm since 1995. I have had no problems so far and am pleased with the reliability of the Toyota drivetrain. This car will last another 10 years, no sweat! If you are looking for a car that provides peace of mind. This is your car.
