For 2004, the Yukon features the addition of a tire-pressure monitoring system and newly styled optional 17-inch wheels. A chrome exhaust tip is now standard and the trailering package includes a seven-to-four-pin adapter and electric brake wiring harness. For added safety, the Yukon now features Hydroboost brakes, and there is a front passenger seatbelt reminder. The antenna for the optional XM Satellite Radio is smaller this year, and the rear-seat entertainment system can now be combined with a sunroof. Lastly, the passenger-side exterior door lock has been eliminated.

Almost as good as my 99 Suburban - 2004 GMC Yukon
By Vinster - April 3 - 2:00 amGreat car but is now made of or out off composite and not metal like it used to be. Ths makes for much better gas milage and the chasis is the same but not quite as safe as the 99s . The car looks great and has a great sound system (Bose) but the ride is not quite as good as the older suburbans. I did choose this over my 2002 Caddy (DeVille) i just got rid of.

By Bob Sr - April 3 - 2:00 amThis 2003 I ordered is magnificently a better vehicle than my 1997 Yukon. The XM satellite radio I LOVE, and may add years to your life! On Star is a nuisance, never used. Get the stabilitrack and the autoride. It doesnt ride as well as my 89 Fleetwood with a 121" wheel base, but its not bad.You dont need the Denali if you get these options, 5.3 engine, and you can save yourself $10,000 and get better mileage. I got the barn doors, and deleted the useless (to me) third seat. Climate system is great. Mirrors that blink left and right are also cool. I really LOVE this truck. It handles well in snow and ice,tows well, and goes like a rrabbit.

Owner - 2004 GMC Yukon
By Joe Floyd - March 14 - 6:45 pmThe spare tire is a 16" tire. At 25,300 mile I had tire damage, drove 200 miles on spare with 17" regular tires. Had to repace all 4 tires due to being a AWD and 25M miles on 35M mile tires. Repaced spare with correct size. Contacted GM and received a reply of nothing. Out $875.00 for tires at 25M miles. How cheap will GM go on a $50,000 car? Please check this problem if you buy a GM AWD. They will not stand behind any mechanical problem that may occur. They could at least put the correct spare tire on these expensive cars.

Not Professionial Grade - 2004 GMC Yukon
By Engineer - February 22 - 11:28 amA nice one to look at, but the squeaks and rattles are horrible. My transfer case bearings went bad at 40k miles, coolant leaks were due to bad factory hose clamps,The bearing issue is a known problem that should be recalled. Poor build quality. Dealer did not have bearing bearing is stock. Pathetic for a $53K Vehicle. My next will be a Toyota. If youare considering a Yukon, buy an extended warranty!

The bus - 2004 GMC Yukon
By w. stovall - January 27 - 10:00 amAll our friends call it the "bus". When we all want to go out together, they call us. We have hauled a lot of stuff in it while remodelling our house. The water pump was replaced under warrany, but, no other problems. Gets 15 mpg no matter where or how you drive it, but 4 people and lots of luggage ride in comfort.

I traded for a 2004 and I loved my first one and like some of the NEW UPGRADES on my new one... Wish it would come in Blue :( not many options for colors but great ride. was looking at the Cadilac but could not get them to deal w/me and I am glad I got a new GMC

By Adam Symons - September 2 - 2:00 amMy previous vehicle was a 1998 Ford Explorer. I was considering three vehicles: the FX 45, the Audi Allroad and the GMC Denali. I test drove them all and settled on the Denali. The engine is excelent along with the interior finish. I never used to listen to music, however the XM radio on the Nav screen thrills me beyond end. My only disappointment is that the factory wheels on the Denali are a pedestrian 17 inches, and for a vehicle this large there should be an option to upgrade to a larger rims and wheels.

Second time around in the GMC Yukon - 2004 GMC Yukon
By dtyler - July 27 - 10:00 amThis is my second purchase. I traded a 98 Yukon for this one and there is a world of difference. The ride is like a dream, quiet, firm but not stiff, breaking seems to be more than adaquate, a real change from the old front disc and rear drums. Confidant that the vehicle will stop without worry. The ease steering is different and the suspension is much smoother than my old 4WD. The 5.3L engine is smooth and powerful, better gas consumption and real joy. Styling is great and the new Silver color is nice. I just couldnt wait to trade and Im glad that I did.
