This Year's Model Updates:

For 2004, the Yukon features the addition of a tire-pressure monitoring system and newly styled optional 17-inch wheels. A chrome exhaust tip is now standard and the trailering package includes a seven-to-four-pin adapter and electric brake wiring harness. For added safety, the Yukon now features Hydroboost brakes, and there is a front passenger seatbelt reminder. The antenna for the optional XM Satellite Radio is smaller this year, and the rear-seat entertainment system can now be combined with a sunroof. Lastly, the passenger-side exterior door lock has been eliminated.

Pros:
  • Strong engines, roomy and versatile interior, rugged chassis, numerous available amenities.
Cons:
  • Spotty build quality, interior materials could be better.

  • 4 years and still loving it - 2004 GMC Yukon

Purchased this at employee discount price and worth every penny. In 4 years, have done nothing but routine oil changes, tire rotations, etc. Great ride, decent fuel economy for a car this big and with this much power. Looking for another one to replace my Nissan. Family requires the space and my wife and I both prefer the Yukon.

I really love this car! I bought it new in 2004 and it has 82,000 miles on it now. The only things I do to it are regular oil changes and tire rotations. I also changed the tires at 50,000 miles. I do not care for the third row seating as it is a pain to climb over the second row. Also the power and acceleration are not that great. Otherwise I will buy another Yukon when I buy my next vehicle.

  • Great large SUV - 2004 GMC Yukon

Bought it as a lease return with 36K. 5.3L, AWD, 17" wheels. Wanted a Denali, but not the mileage. Surprisingly tight turning radius! Loaded with moonroof, Bose,DVD,etc. No surprises. Very comfortable, enough space for family, very good power. Suits me perfectly! Gets slightly better MPG than my 98 Blazer with V6. 100 more miles per tank.

Gmc Denali is by Far the Best SUV on the Market. You Will not be Disappointed. The 6.0 V8 is awesome.

  • Was not "Professionial Grade" - 2004 GMC Yukon

This was our third and last Yukon. This one was a loaded SLT with a 49K price tag. Wifes car, never off the pavement. At 42K miles the transfer case failed. Was at dealer for 3 weeks. At 51K miles, transfer case noise, same problem, another new transfer case. Squeeks and rattles at 32K miles. Electricial issues since the first month. Vehicle loses all preset data. Tire air sensers fail constantly. I will not buy another one. Pathetic fuel economy, but will pull a house.

  • Great truck! - 2004 GMC Yukon

What a pleasure to drive! Traded a 2000 Expedition for my Denali and do not miss it one bit! Interior is cushy, personalized settings are superior. Solid, smooth ride, without the beastly, top-heavy feel of the Expedition. Huge improvement in acceleration with the 325 hp motor.

  • Denali all the way! - 2004 GMC Yukon

I am on my 7th GMC Suburban/XL - purchased my 1st Denali - ride and comfort is exceptional. There is a difference between the standard XL and the Denali (not only the looks).

48K miles, never back to the dealer for defects, and still on original tires. A joy to drive with the 6.0 Litre engine. How much better can a vehicle be?
