This Year's Model Updates:

The recently redesigned Yukon is virtually unchanged from last year. The high-level Yukon Denali is now based on the redesigned Yukon introduced last year. The Denali gets a 6.0-liter engine along with standard all-wheel drive and a host of other new features designed to elevate the top-of-the-line GMC above and beyond its more basic Yukon cousin.

Pros:
  • Powerful V8 lineup, roomy and luxurious cabins, extensive list of standard features, standard all-wheel drive in Denali.
Cons:
  • Interior fit-and-finish concerns, regular Yukon still too similar to the Chevy Tahoe.

  • What happened to the giant G.M.? - 2001 GMC Yukon
    By -

I have been a G.M. owner all my life but this vehicle has made me switch! I noticed a ticking sound coming from the engine right after I bought it. I was told it was "piston slap" by the dealer. After almost two years of waiting for G.M. to figure out a fix to the problem, Im now being told they arent going to fix it- that this condition is normal. It appears the problem is too costly for G.M. to fix so they are just going to ignore it!
