Pros:
  • Plenty of passenger and cargo space, smooth ride, above-average tow capacity for a crossover.
Cons:

  • Nice car - 2008 GMC Acadia

We really like our Acadia because of how it looks and it drives really nice, great turning ratio, very comfortable! We have 5 kids including 3 teenagers and we all fit in here with plenty of room. More leg and body room than our Suburban but we miss the storage room in the back. We have the FWD and are only getting 20 MPG and we drive mostly highway so thats a little disappointing. The vehicle is very doggy on hills unless you lay into the gas and then it wants to fly. Agree about the chrome on the dash, would be better to just make it the color of the dash as the sun does reflect off of it. We love the syling and people are always looking at it and even ask us how we like it, etc.

  • Great all around vehicle - 2008 GMC Acadia

This is an excellent choice if youre looking for flexibility. The interior volume and configuration options are excellent. Very quiet interior. Smooth driver due to long wheelbase, yet still has a tight turning radius. Drives like a car, with the space of a wagon, and the size and capability of a larger SUV.

  • Great SUV - 2008 GMC Acadia

5400 miles and I am still loving every moment with it. We are getting about 24 to 26 MPG on long trips and about 18 around town. Tons of room and then some. GM hit the ball out of the park on this one.

Looked at quite a few SUVs, most did not look good, they drove or handled poorly, and majority had really bad gas mileage. Really like this SUV, looks good, handles well, gas mileage not bad at around 22 on road, very smooth ride. All in all, very pleased with the vehicle so far, great family car, especially for long trips.

By far the best crossover out there. Great handling with the stabilatrac, not like an SUV that can roll over easily. All the controls are very close. Getting 21 mpg, I think thats great for this vechile. If you dont need AWD get the FWD youll save about 1700 on the price & get 4 mpg more. If you need more MPG than this buy a Yaris.

  • I Love This Car - 2008 GMC Acadia

This car is everything I want. I am a mother of three very busy children and this car fits all our needs. I wanted the luxury componets, since I am in it so much , but it has such family friedly features everyone loves it! Drives nice. All the extras in this car make all the difference. I feel safe in it with my kids. The interior styling is great, but I also think it has a stylish exterior too! Better than Lexus or Mazada.

  • I Love My Acadia! - 2008 GMC Acadia

This is my dream car! I love it! The way it drives, the luxury feel to it, everything. This car has every bell and whistle I could ask for. The back cargo area is roomy and the rear seats fold down and back up easily. The steering collum has touch control for everything. Very deep, roomy consoles. We fit 6 large adults very comfortably with lots of room left. The driver assist backup camera is so helpful. I feel very safe and confident driving this SUV.

  • MIni-Van Killer - 2008 GMC Acadia

Just bought the vehicle a week ago, and it has been great. We live in the mountains of Salt Lake and it has no problem with power. Love the fit and finish of the vehicle, as well as the car like drive. This really is the perfect vehicle if your wife hates the mini-van, but needs a mini-van. This car has mini-van advantages without the image abusing looks of a van.

  • Just a great looking SUV - 2008 GMC Acadia

This is just the finest looking SUV on the road today. Very comfortable and it delivers in excess of the 22mpg highway. Mine is fully loaded with everything imaginable. Instrumentation is excellent including the heads up display on the windshield. Bose is great as is the 36 "favorites" you can set up on the audio. Its nice that you can move from AM to FM to XM without changing the mode. This is my first SUV so Im just getting used to the size. My last car was a BMW 330 so the change is quite dramatic for me. Backup camera helps tremendously in reverse.

  • Better ride and features than imports! - 2008 GMC Acadia
    By -

I have driven many different vehicles, having worked in the automotive field, but Im very impressed with the GMC Acadia. It has the space of a mini-van but definitly not the look of one and it rides as smooth as a sedan with the ability of an SUV. GM hit it on the head this time. Its truly a vehicle that covers all the bases. Plus a 5yr- 100K warranty and roadside assistance, (some of imports dont even offer roadside unless you purchase it), how could you lose. I give it a big thumbs up.
